Please support our efforts to stop Amnesty in DC!

We need your support to help us stop amnesty in DC.

    We need you to

    A. Come to DC with us if you can.

    B. Support our DC efforts from home while we are in DC if you can't come.

    C. Help set up links on other boards and websites to the DC effort webpage at www.HoldTheirFeetToTheFire.org

    D. Contribute to ALIPAC to help us afford the lobbying materials and promotional materials we will need in DC. You can contribute via our online secure page at this link
    http://www.alipac.us/modules.php?name=C ... page&pid=9

All of the information you need is at www.HoldTheirFeetToTheFire.org and you will need to sign up there to receive more information.

We will be blogging live from the events in DC and information, video, pictures, and audio will accompany our live reports here in the ALIPAC Discussion Groups area.

    Thank you for your support.

Below is on the page for contributions. After reading it, it looks like we cannot donate from our company, is that correct? If so maybe you can explain why. I thought it was ok for companies to donate, or maybe I'm just not understanding this.

Either way, I will get a contribution to ALIPAC this week.

    Thanks

Federal election law requires political committees to use best efforts to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of individuals who contribute. An individual may not contribute more than a total of $5000 per year to the committee. Federal law prohibits contributions to the committee from the general treasury funds of a corporation, labor organizations or national banks (including corporate or other business entity credit cards), from any person contributing another's funds, from a Federal government contractor, or from a foreign national who lacks permanent resident status. Contributions are not deductible for Federal income tax ppurposes.

Political Action Committees (like ALIPAC), and Federal Campaign Committees cannot accept funds from companies or corporations by law.

Big industries have to creat PACs and get their CEO and employees to contribute to it in order to contribute to campaigns and such.
