    ARE POLL NUMBERS MANIPULATED?

I just bought the san Jose Mercury news paper and guess what? 59% of californians are for amnesty and to let illegals to become legal residents. Does that mean that latinos are the ones supporting amnesty so that they can increase their voting power with the help of illegals?

It's a biased poll used to deceive people. They did the same thing during the in=state tuition for illegals fight last year in NC. It did not change the fact that over 70-80% opposed the bill in reality.

Same situation here, just on a national scale.

It is absolutely ridiculous to even think that a majority of Americans support Guest Worker Amnesty.

They really over did it with this poll.

why do they want to deceive people? Does that work like a coded wake up call for people to react?

The purpose of biased polls like this one is to make all of the American citizens that oppose these measure think they are in the minority when in fact those that oppose Guest Worker Amnesty make up 70-80% of the population.

This also helps the Open Borders Lobby to sooth the lawmakers in DC and tell them that they will be OK back home in their districts if they pass this.

A biased poll like the ones they are circulating now are a form of a grand lie.

In the Spring of 2005 a bill was introduced in NC to offer taxpayer subidied in-state tuition for illegal aliens. The talk radio stations lit up and the angry calls started flooding the legislature.

I left my job as a Legislative Assistant for the NC Senate to get in the hallways and on the airwaves to fight the bill.

All of the online polls showed 80-90% opposition. You could hardly find anyone calling the talk radio shows or on the ground that said they supported the bill.

Elon University release a bogus poll saying that more NC residence supported in-state tuition for illegal aliens than opposed it. Those pushing the bill claimed that we were just a very loud, hostile, vocal minority and the poll proved it.

We won, the bill fell down and went boom!

Later a professional poll run by the JWP Civitas institute showed that over 81% of NC's likely voters were less likely to support a candidate that has supported in-state tuition for illegal aliens. This was consistant with the other information we had.

The Elon Poll received wide press coverage. The civitas poll did not.

Here is an article about it.

Very rarely do I see a poll where the questions are framed fairly and accurately. A poll can be easily skewed, simply by the way a question is asked.

Of course polls are manipulated - I just read an article (AP) that stated that most Americans wanted a guest worker program - yada, yada.

If someone wants to skew a poll - it is simple. They know how to ask the questions.

It's kinda like - "Do you still beat your wife."

If you say NO - then you once beat your wife - so you are a wife beater.

If you say YES - well you are a wife beater.
