The Population Fix by William Blake

I received an email from NumbersUSA today that directed me to the following link:

    http://www.thepopulationfix.com/thebook.html

The book looks very interesting, and worth checking out. Figured I'd post this link for those ALIPAC visitors and members who don't receive NumbersUSA emails.

I think that we need to push this "over-population" angle more. Look what this surge in population has already done. I see nothing but road construction and reconstruction everywhere around me. Trees going down by the millions. Water being used up. And on and on and on.

    Sounds like a good book.

I've often been in dialogue with foreigners who can't comprehend why we'd want to restrict immigration. To them we must be racists because they can't see the problem. To their eyes, our land looks practically empty, with tons of room to spare. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like we crossed a threshold around 200 mil or so. The more crowded it gets, the more testy people get, the more need for social taboos and rules (i.e. caste system, class system) to control and ration competition and access to opportunity, the more competitive people become, the more feckless the lower, shut-out classes become, the more fatalistic, depressed, and frustrated everybody becomes. Who wants more of that?

This reminds me of something I read a while back. The guy who "invented" Earth day in the 1970's discussed this. He said one of the major causes of destruction of the environment would be overpopulation. He was a proponent of little population growth.

It amazes me of how many people and groups who are so pro environment are for illegal aliens. My brain just cannot comprehend that. I mean if it weren't for immigration both legal and illegal this country would have remained the same or lost population. Can someone tell me why that is a bad thing? Another thing I cannot wrap my brain around.

It is also amazing that the with the whole global warming thing that Al and his pals never bring this up. I doubt Sheryl Crow is against amnesty, but Sheryl just think of all the squares of toilet paper that could be saved by controlling population growth.

Thanks for the info. Overpopulation is never positive, especially when it's attributed to insolent criminal aliens who deliberately breed like rabbits, evade taxes, steal identities, and drain our social services.

I am a 100% serious here when I say this...

for all the brains liberals and democrats think they have, why do they not read books about facts and consequences about their poor decisions?

Seriously, you would think that Boxer/Feinstein and the rest of them ignoramousus' would read a "factual book" on issues that we are currently contending with.

It is just beyond me how ignorance just seems to permeate all levels of the government.

I remember an old saying when I was a kid growing up...They called people like this "Educated Idiots." I don't understand these people either?

At 46 I remember the left discussing the dangers of overpopulation and the related effects on the environment and political stability. And illegal immigration was truly looked down upon. That was in the '70's when I was a teen.

Now the left calls the same environmentalists who are against illegal immigration "racists".
