Late breaking news- Police just did a bust in southeast portland , Oregon at se 90th and clinton area-
they arrested three mexican nationals , for drugs then they did a search of the house and found about 16 roosters that were being raised for Cockfighting - a popular sport in mexico and cruel-
it is a felonyhere and they were cited for 157 counts on that one alone - not to mention the drugs they had for dealing-
the mug shots and names of all were shown ,two latino males and one female-- along with the metal razors which are attached to the roosters legs so they will slash their apponent to death. possesion of the metal razors is a misdemeanor.
the newscasters mentioned nothing about legal status- but a rather muted reference to cockfighting being a " cultural thing"
I think it is really nice they could come here and bring their idea of family fun in the village-
