The House of Cards

…and he huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down…
What if America was viewed in black and white with a touch of gray?
Imagine reverting back to the old “check the box please USA forms:
Box A --- Black
Box B --- White
Box C --- Asian
Box D --- Native American, in all 50 states
There is a lot to be said for simplicity in a complex world.
Albert Einstein said it well
“Things should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler.
Martin Fischer did too:
“Knowledge is a process of piling up facts; wisdom lies in their simplification.
It has gotten so complicated.
And people have gotten so confused.
The notion of undoing what we have done is an entertaining one.
Of course, this might upset La Raza or "The Race." They would have to change their name to El Etnico. ( “The Ethnic)
It has a ring to it.
It has that ‘E’ thing going for it.
However, it does not have Play the Race Card written in it.
When their House of Cards begins tumbling down, is it going to written like this; All the Kings Horses and All the Kings Men Couldn’t Put La Raza Together Again?
Now THAT has a real rhythm. Music to the rest of our non-racist ears.
Who Ya Gonna Call, Ghostbusters?
A choice of: black or white and gray would make The Race irate. It would make LULAC mad , irk MALDEF and infuriate MeCha. That is the only card they can play; the ‘race’ one. And being Hispanic or Latino is not a race, it is an ethnic group. Time for them, and for us to remember that.
Which works for me. I am not the least bit interested in race profiling. Not your race, not my race, or anyone else’s race for that matter. Most people feel that way. What you are is what you are. No better, no worse than any of us.
What you DO however is a whole ’nother story. Particularly if it is unlawful. That makes me irritable. But I will save that story for some other night of Politically Incorrect storybook reviews.
“Restlessness and discontent are the first necessities of progress. --Thomas A. Edison
We must be making progress.
