Thread: President Trump Calls for Amnesty for Illegal Aliens to Solve Catch & Release

I just received a copy of this White House e-mail from a supporter. Notice the call for "immigration reform" Amnesty from Congress? This is so ironic when you consider the fact that the new surge on our border is being caused by Trump's efforts to pass "immigration reform" Amnesty.

45 days for a "study" from DHS is a stall tactic, next to useless, and flimsy politican theater!

We will end ‘catch and release’ On Friday, President Donald J. Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum that takes important steps to end “catch and release,” a dangerous practice whereby those who have violated our Nation’s immigration laws are released into the United States shortly after their apprehension. The Memo’s opening lines lay out the challenge facing our country: Human smuggling operations, gang member entry, and other criminal activity spilling across the U.S. border threaten our security and safety. The backlog of immigration cases is alarmingly large and has hindered the quick resolution of outstanding cases. Shortages in border-security and immigration enforcement personnel have reached critical levels. In response, President Trump has asked his Secretary of Homeland Security to produce a report within 45 days that details how the Administration is acting swiftly to end these “catch and release” practices. I hope some "America First" media outlets will pick this up and reveal the latest attempt for amnesty by the Trump administration. Ann Coulter and others should receive this information if they have not already.

"Comprehensive Immigration Reform" are words never to be spoken if you want to be taken seriously on enforcing immigration laws and stopping illegal immigration. The omnibus bill is just the latest example of how these bills work against us. Everything including the kitchen sink was given to democrats and the American people and the president got zero toward the wall and less for detention funds and other important matters.

Yes, that's so true, GeorgiaPeach. It's like the left wing amnesty supporters have stolen our language and you can't use normal language like comprehensive immigration reform to address the 71 point plan of the President without being accused of supporting amnesty. Maybe they can use the term "multi-issue immigration reform", "broad-based immigration reform", or just "immigration reform" or get away from that awful word "reform" that doesn't mean anything and call it "Immigration Cuts and Jobs for Americans Act".

That's all fine and dandy, however, to do so is to ignore that Trump is an admitted amnesty supporter. If he doesn't know the lingo by now, he certainly should. When Trump says "comprehensive immigration reform" it means the same as when Lindsey Graham and John McCain say it.

I don't think so, but .... we'll see!
