Voters Lose

I’ve long wondered whether the current presidential debate format sufficiently informs the public about where the candidates stand on the issues, or whether the debates are merely stage-managed public relations events during which candidates offer obtuse and abstract answers to pre-approved questions from friendly questioners. I participated in seven Republican presidential debates in 1999 and 2000. Although I performed well, I was constantly frustrated over the format of the debates, which typically allowed candidates a mere 90 seconds to answer complex public policy questions and another 30 seconds to offer rebuttals.

The inadequacy of the current debate format was highlighted during last Thursday’s CNN-hosted Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas. While host Wolf Blitzer introduced the debate audience, from which some of the questions were derived, as a crowd of “ordinary people, undecided voters,â€

I have for a long time thought of the national debates as a corrupt agenda held by the coporate elites and their media machine. What kind of debate censors questions and restricts answer time? A crooked American conspiracy to hide the truth from being seen or told in a debate. It all leads back to the front steps of the CFR and the Department of Commerce and their nasty little agenda to rule under a one world government.

A debate is an open forum free of cenorship. It is high-spirited, yet civil in nature and the truth is not restricted, for it is one of the main goals of any debate. What America sees on the TV today is not a debate, its' a working conspriacy, a staged event to self-serve those villans who would keep us from debating

In this next election, we need to route out every offical that is a member of the CFR and keep them out. This is the only way to reinstate the Constitution. Laws need to be inacted to keep the media from censoring the debates which will perpetuate our freedom. This needs to be done NOW!

I'm still waiting on a response from Senator Chambliss about this idea to enact new laws regarding the national debates. It's been two weeks now, I don't think he wants to comment on something that he might take heat for, or at least it seems that way.

It’s just a staged event, more like a “pep-rallyâ€
