Explain to me why present rules cannot/will not be enforced?

This immigration ordeal is not brain surgery. I know first-hand that INS and IRS will do nothing when you report Chinese or Mexican restaurants for labor violations and hiring of illegals. I seriously heard "we just don't have the staff to follow these people". There is no following to it....I gave explicit names and addresses. A chinese man can live a filthy rich life, own three restaurants, house the illegals in demoralizing trashy trailers (2 for 18 people), pay all cash under the table and this just goes on. I have always said they way to solve immigration problems would be to hit employers in the pocket. If nothing else, take the hugh fines we could give them and throw the money into our social security funds. How are people HEARD when they report these incidents?

Don't get discouraged. Maybe you hit the nail on the head, report them for labor violations, instead of trying ICE. Go to your local government and let them go after them. If they discover an immigration issue, ICE will most likely step it. I've made a few reports and have not seen results yet. Interior enforcement has been neglected and they are understaffed. That is part of the reason we have been asking that local law enforcement be allowed to apprehend and detain illegal aliens.

They are not, here in Florida we live with more than 1.000.000 of them, if you go to a mall they always start talking in spanish with you, if you go to a fast food they don't understand you, and if you complain they laugh on your face, in the banks the same. This is America Land of the free Home of the Brave

    Welcome, honeybaby,

We also want the current laws enforced. The gov't doesn't want to enforce the laws.

Have you read William Gheen's excellent article on,
How to Reverse Illegal Immigration in America?

Here's the link for you. It's on the Home page, along with the Mission statement.

Feel free to use the Google search, Home page, upper right, search ALIPAC for a large amount of info.

    Again, welcome.

Yesterday I was at the bank making a deposit. I didn't have my checkbook, so I had to use one of the bank's generic deposit slips. It was printed in both English and Spanish. So, I boldly crossed out every Spanish word on the slip and then presented it to the teller. She looked at me oddly, but continued on.

Later that day I had to call an out-of-state bank regarding a CD I have and ended up getting somebody in India. Not only was our connection bad, but I could barely understand her broken English. I asked her what the penalty would be if I closed my CD before the maturity date, and she told me it would be a loss of 90 days or two months of interest. I questioned the 90 days or two months, and she corrected herself and said, "Oh, I mean 90 days or four months." Geez...
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

    Hey Dot,

Ya know, you DO have problems. Since this issue is affecting the entire country..... on the national, if not local levels yet.

    Welcome honeybaby....

Where do socks go missing in the dryer? One of those grand mysteries of life. There is no logical reason they "can't" enforce the laws on the books. They won't. And you just have to keep writing and calling and writing and calling and you can toss a letter to the editor to your local newspaper, call in to a talk radio show.....and just be a pest...(in a polite and informed way). Each of us to one degree or another has just sat silently by and it's time we speak up and say this is NOT OK! And that's what we do here......so welcome!

Welcome Honeybaby, why are the current laws not enforced? Serious lack of manpower and no one in our government really wants them enforced.

    Again, welcome honeybaby.

In my humble opinion, I think that the reason the laws are not enforced is:

    M - O - N - E - Y

I have come to believe that this is the new "god" in this country. Too many people will do anything for money.

Be glad that you don't live next to a "sanctuary city" like Denver. But, as curiouspat said -
Ya know, you DO have problems. Since this issue is affecting the entire country..... on the national, if not local levels yet.
I hear from my kids in Michigan that Hispanic gangs are driving the black people out of southeast Detroit.

We've got to keep writing, calling, emailing, faxing, or whatever to make sure our elected representatives understand that they're supposed to be working for us -- THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

Don't lose heart and don't give up!!!
