Question regariding contact points
What do you do, are you an emailer, use the phone, fax, all the above? And how many times a day do you contact these fine folks? Do you leave the same message over and over, or do you change it up each time you call? I'm sorry for the lamo question, just that I've never done this before till coming to this site. I'm the least political person you would ever know and am learning alot from all of you! Just curious if I'm doing things right, lol.
My husband on the other hand has always followed politics, served his time in the Marine Corps and so I've always just followed his lead on politics because of course we want the same things for our family.Just your ordinary, average, everyday, American mom!

I'm sure somebody will help us beginners out. Have been reading here for quite awhile and everyone seems nice and willing to lend a hand.
For my part, I've sent some faxes through numbersusa to Kyl and McCain ( not that it did any good, I'm sure). I would just like to get a little more organized to thank those still on our side and lean on the ones who aren't.
I'm not really sure if there's a right or wrong way to do this....just so long as we're doing something.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

ALL OF THE ABOVE! Use NumbersUSA to Fax, Use Congress.org to e-mail and use your voice to call. Take your cues from talk shows, the news and ALIPAC. If a news story makes you angry, use that as you motivation.
DO NOT limit your activity to just your Senators. ALL of them are making decisions that affect ALL of us. They will take calls from non-constituents and at Congress.org, you can e-mail about 93 of the 99 Senators from their system.
Do all of the above every day, the pro-amnesty group is very well organized but we out number them massively. We proved that when we killed this Piece of S#*T earlier.
Go as hard as you can for as long as you can. We only have one chance at killing this in the Senate.Check your credit report regularly, an illegal may be using your Social Security number.

I use email, phone and fax.
If the list is long, I try to phone, fax and email each one once a day. I use the same fax (for example, if we are targeting senators, the fax starts with "Dear Senator" so I can feed it thru the fax to each number) and use a list of notes for the calls. Depending who I'm calling and how annoyed I am, the call might be short and polite or heavy and long, lol. If it's voice mail, I'm a little braver as I don't feel like I'm venting at an employee.
For email, I send one or more messages to each person. Sometimes I use the same text as the fax; sometimes it's different as things evolve throughout the day.
I have several email accounts, so sometimes email the same person several times from diffrerent email addresses. If there is time, I modify the message a bit; if there isn't time, I send the same one. I doubt if they read the messages closely. I think they just look to see if you are for or against.
Finally, some people here post sample messages that they composed, so if you're short on time, tired or otherwise having a hard time getting organized, you can use their text and/or graphics. I sometimes modify these a bit if I have time.
In short, the possibilities are endless. Anything you do is helpful and most appreciated! And the more, the better.

Can you post dummies instructions how to do this. If there is a specific page where one can access all the email addresses at once, please let us know.
Do you email each one separately or as a group?
Approx how long does it take to get through all 99 senators? Thanks.

Thanks jecg!!! I especially appreciate the congress.org info so I can get in touch with others beside Kyl and McCain which, to me anyway, just seems like a huge waste of precious time.
Faxing and email is what I do best. I don't have much patience for being put on hold and, besides that, with 4 kids out on summer break now I don't think I've even SEEN the phone in the past two weeks.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
