Ramos/Compean letter to members of Judiciary Committee

REMEMBER the hearings are set for next Tuesday july 17th at 10AM
I am writing and forwarding this letter to every member of the Senate Judiciary Committee in regards to these two men.
I wrote down all i could think of and if you have any more ideas. cut and paste this letter along with your thoughts and send them to the 16-17 member committee and say you want answers too.

Feinstein is heading the hearing so i think its she who should get the first letter like this. I want answers. I demand answers. And im not taking no for an answer when it come sto this case.

    The honorable Senator Feinstein...
It is with Great pleasure that I hear today of the upcoming Judiciary Committee FINALLY looking into the wrongful prosecution and imprisonment of Ignacio Ramos and his partner Jose Compean. As one who has read all sorts of articles and the trial transcripts, I can not understand how these men are in prison and why the US Attorney in West Texas went after these two men so hard and never once gave thought to going after the doper in the case.

The US Attorney in all his interviews claims these men committed a number of serious crimes but as of yet in any interview I have heard or read, he has no told anyone what these crimes are. He insists the doper was shot at 15 times but in the trial both the doper and the agents claim 6 shots. I have read articles online that have said ms kanof, from sutton's el paso office, added ten more shots because these two would not take a plea bargain. She also ADDED charges with every meeting trying to get a plea deal too. that just does not sound right to me.

An attorney who has had to deal with ms. kanof in court in an interview said she told him something to the effect of. its my lies versus your truth, Lets see who the jury believes. THIS IS WRONG

I do not know how much time you will have in your hearings, but I would hope that a list of witnesses who will be called to testify will be made available, and I would love to be able to sit back next Tuesday morning and watch this on one of the C-Span Channels because this story has made millions of americans mad as hell.

I would like to submit some names as possible people to be made to testify in front of your committee.
These would include the two agents themselves and also ALL 7 other agents at the scene that day. IT appears that some where threatened by the West Texas US attorney office to testify or face charges themselves.

    MY LIST would include:
*Rene Sanchez, Border Agent in Wilcox, AZ., who is a childhood friend of the doper and his supervisor at the time. Id love to ask him (if i was on the committee) when he started the investigation on BP computers whose best interest he was looking out for, because from the testimony and stories i think he was more worried about his friend instead of the co workers....
*Chris Sanchez from the DHS OIG would also be made to testify. It appears that when the bullet was taken out of the doper, instead of turning it over for ballistics he took the bullet and the doper home to his house overnight.
    * Debra Kanof, the lead prosecutor in the case who kept the now famous October 05 drug load out of the hands of the jury, cuz she knew it would ruin her case and would paint the doper as what he really is, a career dope runner.
    * judge Kathleen Cardone, who allowed this information kept from the jurors and told the defense that they could not talk about the dangerousness of the border. She made a ruling saying it was "alleged"
*ALL TWELVE jurors to find out if the proper information had come out, if they would still have voted guilty, especially since three came forward in august of 06 and claimed they were harassed by the jury foreman, and one juror even said "next week is spring break and im not going to be here."
    * Andy Ramirez from friends of the border patrol, who has done extensive research into this case.
*Joe Loya, Monica Ramos, and Patty Compean, family members of the imprisoned agents
    * US House Reps. Ted Poe, Duncan Hunter, Dana Rohrabacker (and his aide tara setmayer, who has visited mr ramos in prison) who have all read transcripts
    * US House Rep Tom Tancredo who went to the Mississippi prison after Ramos was beaten
*US Attorney Johnny Sutton, who never attended the trial until the day the verdict was read (this from the two wives)
*Sara Carter, reporter, Ontario Inland Valley news
*Louis Gilot, reporter, El Paso Times
    * The US Army hospital Doctor who took the stand and said the wounds from the bullet were concistance with the person being in a bladed position. and would not lie for the prosecutor who for some strange reason TO THIS DAY insists he was shot in the damn back

The involvement of the mexican government and the letters that they are writing demanding prosecution of US law enforcement because their people aer entering illegally MUST be looked at. (also this involvement in the Texas Sheriff Deputy Gilmer Hernandez who was cleared by the most respected law enforcement in the country. the texas rangers) but wa scharged a month after because of a letter sent to the US attorney General office. Ive seen the letter from the mexican consulate in eagle pass texas.

I would like to hear about the following::::
**I would like to know what the cases were for immunity and how come when it was violated by the doper he was not taken into prison that very minute and booked for smuggling
**I would like to know the relationship between the doper and DHS OIG Sanchez, who actually permitted the doper to stay at his house overnight and who on most days would meet him at the border to get him across and would actually take the doper to the US Army Hospital, wait, and take him back to the border.
**I would like to hear of the immunity agreement of the three fellow agents. why the US attorney office threatened with charges if they didnt testify the way they wanted.
**I would like to know why the judge in this case after seeing and reading three sworn affadavits by jurors deemed these to be not related to the verdict. seems to me if your pressured, you will vote the way the pressure is leaning, not with what your heart believes.
** I Would like to know how someone can suggest that minor Border Patrol infractions that would at most have warranted 3-5 days off without pay can get someone sent to prison.
** I WOULD like to know why when the OCT 05 bust happened that someone in mr. suttons office, i cant remember the name off hand, actually told the DEA and FBI NOT to arrest anyone at a stash house in the el paso area. my thinking is because they KNEW the doper was involved and it would blow their case.
** I would also like to know why the people at DHS who lied to congress in this matter are still employed and not facing contempt of congress and in prison somewhere. Isnt lying to congress an offense?

This trial was originally scheduled to have begun in Octorber of 2005, but because of the second bust, the prosecutors got a delay because they said the Doper need to go to San Antonio for some surgery that could not have happened in El Paso at the US Army Hospital there. Lets get the paper work from San Antonio and see if the doper actually was there

THE only acceptable final decision is that these men need to be released from prison immeadiately and let go home to their families. and also return to work as a border agent with bank pay, senority and benefits... speanking of that, you might also want to bring Yazoo City Warden Constance Reese to testify why mr Ramos is not getting the proper medicine for his Turret's syndrome and ask why it took a congressional visit to the prison before anything was done to mr. ramos. MRI was not done until last month and that has revealed two herniated disks most likely brought on because of the beating.

Ya know, Senator, its a sad day in american when dope runners, and ANYONE in this country illegally has more rights than an AMERICAN BORN CITIZEN. That is not right, its not fair, and as an AMERICAN CITIZEN I should not be treated like a second Class citizen in my own damn country.

    Hi, JamesW62

Your message is is very apropos, but you need to pretty it up before sending. Get rid of any swearing--I understand the feeling, but you will not be taken sriously. There are some misspellings and grammatical errors; get someone to work with you to polish it up, condensing it if possible.

Great content--there were a lot of (infuriating) things I did not know about and I doubt that I am the only one.

    Good luck!

I checked on the Tourette's--surprising that he was let in with that condition; he must be well controlled. This was from the same CNN interview:

REP. DANA ROHRABACHER (R), CALIFORNIA: This is the most mean- spirited, nasty thing that I've ever seen. They'd never let a prisoner be treated this way if he was a -- an Islamic radical trying to destroy America, but our own people who are out there protecting us are thrown to the wolves by this president and this administration. This is a betrayal of the United States of America.
Never thought the USA would come to this, but there you have it.
