There has also been a deficiency in investment in the countries that people immigrate from illegally that goes from the investment made between thr countries US to Mexico (chosen by us for our benefit) to the corporate level down to the most important deficiency investment by immigrants themselves.
There is talk on the part of amnesty advocates of how the households here are of mixed status with some family members being citizens, and others legal while others have overstayed or have entered entirely without authorization. What this overlooks is that the undocumented typically got here with financing from their citizen and legal immigrant relatives.
Instead of creating a culture of remittance dependent consumption of goods made in Monterey and Mexico City and demonstrating to us their defiance and contempt of American jurisdiction by ignoring our chosen immigration law bi-national families should have been making job creating investment where they came from. The big new fancy houses built with remittance dollars should have waited for pesos coming in from the tractor rental, barns and the chicken coops they should have used the dollars to build first.I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well.
