Thread: My letter to the Republican party

Hi, I don't know if I am writing to the correct place, if not please make sure the right person gets this.


I am 38 years old and I live in Jacksonville, FL. I started paying attention to politics when I was 21 when Clinton started to run for office the first time. I registered as an Republican then because I grew up knowing Ronald Reagan as a great American. However, the older I get and the more I have learned I have come to the sad realization that the Republican party is just a shell of it's former self and because the Republican party has drifted away from what has made it successful in the past I have re-registered as an Independent. And because I live in FL I am not going to be allowed to vote in the primaries. The only three candidates still running on the Republican ticket that I will consider voting for are Romney, Hunter, and Paul. Now if the national polls are correct ( something stinks) and the Traitor McCain wins I will be faced with yet another scenario in which I have to vote for the lesser of two evils.

Let me be clear. I find this completely unacceptable. If I am forced with this decision yet again, I will vote for whichever Democratic candidate is running, and I will take my wife and her family as well as everyone else I can with me. If the Republican party cannot or will not nominate a TRUE American for President and they DO NOT GIVE ME A CHANCE TO HAVE MY VOICE HEARD. Then I will help the Democrats destroy this country quickly, instead of slowly like the Republican party is doing. I hate what the Democrats stand for, but I hate the Republicans even more for acting like they have this countries best interest in mind when it is painfully obvious all they care about is big business and getting them CHEAP foreign labor.

It is sad to see what has become of the Republican party, and because you insist on acting like Democrats I will have no choice to just go ahead and vote for a Democrat. You may be saying to yourself, "so what" and that is fine. However, I talk to a lot of people and almost every American I talk to is starting to feel the same way I do about the Republican party. Once the party of America, now nothing more then the party of crooks. I hope to God that more Americans start to wake up and see that we are being sold down the river before it is too late. If not, take comfort in knowing you were part of the reason that this Country will die.

Very well written, maybe we should start a letter writing campaign to the Republicans letting them know how we all feel. One letter is easy to ignore, but thousands or tens of thousands or even more MIGHT get their attention.

Hey Ronster... glad to hear you joined the ranks of US Independents ! I, like you, have been a part of the Republican party most of my 50 some years here. Till this election !

One thing I think needs clarified here though, is the 'current Republican Party,' excluding maybe Ron Paul or Duncan Hunter, is nothing more than a fascist, tyrannical regime to over throw this country from within, and to promote their "One World Order & Government." So pardon me, sir, if I peck wrongly here, but I don't classify the current Republicans, as even being Americans, let alone what I grew up knowing as the Republican Party !

Democrats & Republicans now a days ... Only Liars & Thieves ! Nothing More ! Nothing Less ! Liars & Thieves ! Those that will only talk with 2 Faces, and 2 Tongues ! And only one hand full of 'Empty Promises' after another !

After just cussing and discussing the "Republican & Democrat" party w/a fellow rancher, it's not the Government that doesn't work anymore... it's those who fill it's shoes and hide behind it's walls.

I suppose the biggest reason I registered as an Independent, and like you as well, don't get to vote in the Primary elections in our fair state of New Mexico, that I am sorely disgusted with more and more each day, but I did not want to be labeled as a "Republican" with the likes of those in it's offices today.

I, like you, sir, WILL NOT, be a part of the subversive, neo-conservative think tank element, that is assuredly only destroying our country from within.

However... I am to be counted as one of the 'Conspiracy Theorists, radical Revolutionary Patriots, that want this country and our Constitution restored to it's original condition !

Anyone with eyes can see where I stand I'm sure. A Patriot from the best of the best !

I suppose the biggest reason I registered as an Independent, and like you as well, don't get to vote in the Primary elections in our fair state of New Mexico, that I am sorely disgusted with more and more each day, but I did not want to be labeled as a "Republican" with the likes of those in it's offices today.

I think maybe that is part of the problem. I too considered registering as an independent. Then I started thinking it through. If those of us who love our country and her constitution all give up our voices, then, we once again will be choosing the least of the evils in November. It is something to think about.

What we really need is a viable third party for those who feel like we do, unfortunately the corrupt powers that be have legislated that into a dream.

I agree, since when did being a Patriot classify me as a nut job? Since when is caring what is happening to our country making ME the outsider? Well, if thinking and acting like I do is wrong, then I dont wanna be right!!!
