McDonalds and Spanish
I know this is probably not a news flash to anyone here, but I figure the more bad advertising for McDonald's the better.
I'm so angry today... I received a coupon flyer today from McDonalds that was printed primarily in Spanish. Any English translations were printed BELOW and SMALLER than the Spanish as if English were a lesser and secondary option.
I tried emailing them, but their email system was down so I sent them a letter along with their piece of crap Spanish mailer. It's bad enough when I get all this junk in English with Spanish on the back, but this one clearly assumed that I was a primarily Spanish speaker!
I'm so sick of living in little Mexico.
I didn't like their crappy food anyway.

Haven't gotten one of those yet, as I wouldn't be able to drive away from the window without screaming something that could get me arrested.
Locally, this McDonalds has a lot of Hispanic workers, which didn't work out well at the box where they take orders. All I wanted was UNSWEETENED ice tea and what I usually got was a sweet tea, which I hate. Finally at the order box they got someone who could speak English as their native language.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

This was one of those big two page coupon mailers that came in the mail. It just annoyed me so much that they ASSUMED that my first language was Spanish.

It's the same in Miami at most of the fast food places. It's as though nobody cares about non Spanish speaking people. It goes further, though, than fast food places. It permeates government and business.
It is nearly impossible to find labor that speaks English; we are reduced to the level of an immigrant who does not speak the language.
When employers require bilingual skills, this is really discrimination based on national origin. Who is really bilingual with Spanish, except for the Hispanics themselves.
Incredible how Hispanics jumped on the civil rights bandwagon and got to the front of the line, ahead of those whom the civil rights reforms were meant for. In Miami, they are the majority that can still reap the benefits of minority status.
Yet, the Hispanic immigrants turn the tables on us. They discriminate and make the non Hispanic Americans the immigrants by not speaking English to non Hispanics. Chances are, in Miami, if they say they don't speak English, it really means they won't speak English.
It is different in California, though. They have not become the dominant power group like in Miami. Project the fast food experience into government and big busineess.
Even if you own a business, you must hire the Hispanics to speak Spanish.

Fast food places are off my menu since in the last few months I have found at least half a dozen human hairs in my burgers and wraps.
Its junk any way let them keep it.We can't deport them all ? Just think of the fun we could have trying!

I just took a train ride from Dearborn Michigan ... I feel all OUR pain ... So I made up my mind I would wear my " Glenn Beck ... U.S. Border Patrol To Protect and Serve Time " ... Tee shirt ... I wear it every time I go out and let them know if your illegally here ... You need to leave. ... It's the only passive thing I can do short of doing what we all want to do.

savecalifornia, I also would have been hissing and spitting to them over the phone. I do not email anymore, I get some poor soul who has the misfortune to work for the sell-out company and they get and earful to pass onto their superiors (remember the Sears, Aztlan t-shirt issue a while back?).
Always do your face to face confronting with a big sweet smile, "now why would you send out your fliers in America, in any other language than English, hmm? You must really want to anger Americans towards your company by doing that, it is a very unwise business decision".
