RELAX TIME PART DEUX , Very special to me

Some of you may know that Frank Marino from Mahogany Rush is a Friend of mine , for those not familiar with Frank , Well , he played every arena venue in the 70s including one of the Cal Jams , In my opinion he is probably the best guitar player on earth.

A month or so ago I got an invite to attend a live 2 day taping of a live DVD , Sadly finances wouldn't allow me to attend,
At any rate , The recording was a really cool deal , many people I know attended , Its going to be about 6 months to get this thing edited and ready for sale but Frank did get one cut up , A week late for Christmas but at any rate , The quality is diamonds , Knowing Frank it would have to be , he is a perfectionist, I can't wait to see the whole thing

Anyway , Ted wanted to duel with Frank at an arena show and Frank blew him off the stage

Yes , Franks trademark is the Gibson mahogany SG

He owns several , they are all hotrodded , he does all his own electonics and builds his own effects and power amps , His main power is the guts from 2 Fender twin reverbs jacked up and tuned by him.

Frank actually quit music in the 90s for awhile and had a business building computers , He still does that , In fact in the late 90s my puter was crashing and he called me from Canada to try to help me get it fixed.

Actually you can find Franks official site here
    http://www.mahoganyrush.com/

It has a mp3 player where you can listen to just about all his old songs
It has a very very active message board and a chat room , The chat room isn't as active as it use to be but some of us still hang in there now and then.
The site is run by Wild Willy Parsons , A biker comedian and great guy
(He comped me and my wife to his show last time he was in Vegas )
    Willy is semi famous

Willy on the old Dennis Miller show

Willy actually built Franks website before he even knew Frank, He was a huge fan and it was due to Willy and some of us that Frank started to play music again.

Another Friend of mine from Franks site actually built Frank a couple of SG style custom hybrids , Frank occasionally will play them in shows

In the old days you never knew who would jump into that chat room over there , Zakk Wild (ozzies old guitarist use to hang there)

There is also a tribute to Frank cd available on the site with covers of Franks songs done by famous rock and metal artists
