Thread: A Reminder to Congress

My wife and I took a tactical shooting course today. During this course the instructors showed a video of Dr. Suzanna Gratia testifying before Congress after her mother and father got murdered in Killeen, Texas at Lubys.

At the end of the speech she said this to Jim Brady and the rest of Congress, "The 2nd Amendment is not about duck hunting.....it's about all of OUR rights to protect ourselves against YOU GUYS up there!

I honestly think this part of the video show be show each morning when Congress meets. Let them be reminded of why our forefathers added the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution. Let them be reminded of the consequences of what happens when THEY no longer represent America.

This is a very emotional video and despite the horrible deaths Dr. Gratia's parents met that day, lots has changed in the Texas because of it.

* Last month alone 85,000 Texans got concealed handgun permits.

* In the year 2009, about 139,000 Texans were certified.

* Since Texas allowed concealed hand gun permits in 1996 almost 1 million Texans have been certified.

* Since Obama took office in 2008 almost 228,000 have been certified which is almost 1/4 of the total certifications in the past 15 years.

* With about 85,000 being certified in the month of June alone 2010 will far surpass any other year..

That incident was horrific. I appreciate her for testifying on behalf of the American people.

Dr. Susanne Gratia certainly said what has needed to be said for a long time.
A strong woman to hold it all together and present what she had to say after what she has been through.

What a brave brave patriotic American who said the right thing, at the right time, and in the right place.

Did Palosi fake a cry, which seems to be her "method of operation" against any American citizens speaking out against "OUR" government?

Though, Palosi isn't thwarted by mexico's citizens FIRING their AUTOMATIC GUNS "at" a TEXAS Govt building! Maybe if they were "speaking out", instead of firing on an American Govt building, Palosi would have faked her cry fest.

Texas "is" still part of the United States of America, isn't it?

Or did Mexico win their current war against America and take Texas back?

I can promise one thing, at the rate Texans are arming themselves we don't need the United States Government to take this country back from the Mexicans.
