    Assimilation is working.

The only problem is, Americans are the ones being assimlated...to the illegal's language and culture.

    Case-in-point:

I was meeting with a client last week and this client is with the procurement dept. of a hospital. The building we met at was NOT at the hospital, but on the other side of town. After our meeting, she was walking me out and I asked the following question:

"Are there a lot of Spanish speaking people in this building?"

She said, "No, none at all really. Why do you ask?"

I said, "Well, during my time in the building I noticed the signs are in English and Spanish?"

She shrugged here shoulders and said, " I don't know why that is?"

Well, I do. We are being forced to assimlate and the illegal aliens are are being enabled to not assimilate.

    It breaks my heart.

Well, I for one refuse to assimilate, this is my country and that is not the way it works. They can lead a horse to water but they cannot make him drink. I went out today to put up signs for a candidate I am supporting that is against illegal immigration and I never seen so many angry people in my life. Americans are ticked off! The sorry part is I don't think they will be voting for any incumbent, all they know is nothing has been done about the problem, they have had it with all of them. I didn't realize so many were so angry. Some of them actually told me that, 'they haven't done a damn thing about this illegal invasion into our country'.

I noticed that in my town. We have very little illegal immigration problem, if any at all. However, there are certain chain stores which have their English/Spanish signs. We have an almost 100% English speaking population here, yet we have signs in Spanish? Why?

Sawdust, I hope you are right about the incumbents not getting back into power. I for one am sick and tired of walking into Home Depot, AutoZone, and many other people and hearing spanish more than I hear English.
I will not assimilate into their culture.
I'm also sick of buying products and opening the users manual up to find that spanish instructions are first! WRONG!!!

Interesting comments. My town has bypassed the assimilation steps and gone straight to ALL Spanish. One road in particular where I've taken over 50 pictures is Washington. For miles (I truly mean that) there are stores with signs only in Spanish. This happens to be the road I drive down everyday to work. Noyoucannot, I am envious. I would be very peeved to see all those signs in both languages. Really, what's the point in your area?!

    Yes, this in America...

    So, here's a question:

Where do these poor immigrants get the money to start these businesses? Who is banking them?

That is probably a question we don't really want the answer to, it would be too disturbing.

    WTO

Ever thought about the World Trade Organization?

This is deep people, more than you know. American citizens cannot get the same consideration as people that immigrate to this country! There is something really sick and twisted in this! I will not mince words. There are powers that be that are h_ _l bent in taking us down and destroying this country! What other conclusion can you come up with?

In Roswell, Georgia, *El Banque de Nuestra Comunidad*; (used to be a Po Folks restaurant) is a division of Suntrust Bank. The majority of businesses in that area are Latino owned and all the signs are in Spanish.

In the Walmart near our place the aisle signs are in English first, but in small print underneath in Spanish. While walking down the main aisle my husband looked up and said loudly, "why only in Spanish, why not in German or Vietnamese, or Chinese, or in Russian, that is being prejudice to only accomodate one foreign language".

He got shot a few dirty looks and a lot of smiles!

Truthfully, it is prejudice to do that. There are plenty of other immigrants, most legal, that do not ask us to accomodate them as the illegals do, and they are not even here legally! That's just plain garbage.
