Romney veto of in-state tuition for illegals

Gov. Mitt Romney in 2004 vetoed legislation that would have given in-state tuition to illegal aliens in public colleges and universities in Massachusetts.

In 2004, many in Massachusetts and many around the country were pushing for legislation that would give in-state tuition to illegal aliens. Gov. Romney demonstrated much courage in opposing those efforts in Massachusetts.

I am very pleased that Mitt Romney vetoed legislation that would have give in-state tuition to illegal aliens.

Mike Huckabee strongly supported in-state tuition and college scholarships for illegal aliens.

Unfortunately, as a mexican-American, I believe Mitt Romney's loyalties are VERY DIVIDED. He WILL NOT TAKE A STAND ON GETTING RID OF THE ILLEGALS.

I think he would be plenty tough on the invaders but I also
think he is still trying to walk a fine line and not tweak to many
    legal Hispanic voters

A hard line of "DEPORT UM ALL" isn't going to get anyone elected

Enforcement of the laws and deportation by taking away the
magnets is the way to go

He's proven he can take away magnets

At some point and very very soon though he will have to
CLEARLY define his exact policy if he expects most of us to
    really get behind him

We have Huck already doing enough double talk , If Romney is
the one he will have to really define his position

Folks, that is why I think ALIPAC and the other interested organizations should organize our own debate; specifically designed to discuss specifics regarding criminal immigration.

The Latino's hosted their own presidential debate, the value voters hosted their own presidential debate... Than why don't we?

Those candidates who do not show up, well enough said. Those that do show up, let's devote an entire hour to asking the hard questions like "what do you plan to do with the 35 to 50 million criminal immigrants already here?"

If all of our orgs could pull together and organize it , it would be
    a great idea

We have some very big orgs like FAIR , Numbers , mcdc , alipac

How about a plain old debate put on by our orgs to address
illegal immigration and the problems that it is causing
