Stick with facts, if you and Ron Paul can.

    The truth hurts. SORRY

You would be wise to check out more of Paul's support of leftists in congress.

Now, instead of rumor, show us any wrong doing by Hunter. You can't.

Paul was never able to get one piece of his legislation through the process. He was a failure as a legislator.

Here’s where the Paul small government argument breaks down.

It’s true Paul has never gotten a piece of his legislation into law. It may even be true that he is consistent in voting.

But in a ten year period Ron CO SPONSORED 1876 bills written by other people. That’s 1000 more than Duncan Hunter. Now if you believe those 1876 bills were all to decrease government (remember written by others who Paul supporters say NEVER lower government!) You’ll believe anything.

Ron Paul has proved he can’t ‘govern’. He has a zero record of accomplishments, except for pushing 1876 bills others wrote through congress. Small government guy?

Just for comparison of actual accomplishments in congress:

Sponsored means he wrote or introduced the bill. Co sponsors sign on to other bills written by someone else.

Statistics: Duncan Hunter has sponsored 105 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 72 haven’t made it out of committee (Average)

and 10 were successfully enacted (Good, relative to peers).

Hunter has co-sponsored 894 bills during the same time period (Average, relative to peers).

Now take a look at Ron Paul, who claims many ‘accomplishments’ and would never vote for any frivolous, unconstitutional bill!

Statistics: Ronald Paul has sponsored 346 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 341 haven’t made it out of committee (Extremely Poor) and 0 were successfully enacted .(Average, relative to peers).

Paul has co-sponsored 1876 bills during the same time period (Average, relative to peers) NOTE: 1876 bills, written by other congress members. All ‘constitutional’ ? You decide.

    http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=400191

One of the stranger pieces of legislation that Paul Co sponsored would have kept him out of the debates!!

. H.CON.RES.263 : Expressing the sense of Congress that any Presidential candidate should be permitted to participate in debates among candidates if at least 5 percent of respondents in national public opinion polls of all eligible voters support the candidate’s election for President or if a majority of respondents in such polls support the candidate’s participation in such debates. Sponsor: Rep Jackson, Jesse L., Jr. [IL-2] (introduced 11/6/2001) Cosponsors (2)

See some of Paul’s CO sponsored legislation here:

Take note of the ultra liberal socialists in congress he signed on with.

600.000 AMERICAN LIVES WHERE LOST IN THIS WAR .
MANY OF US DON'T AGREE WITH THE DEATH OF OUR BROTHERS. SORRY
I KNOW YOU WHO SUPPORT THE WAR HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH WARS AND TORTURE
THE SUPPORT FOR DR. PAUL IS GROWING EACH DAY.
HE RECEIVED ALMOST $19 MILLIONS IN 3 MONTHS.
HIS SUPPORTERS GOT HIM A BLIMP
HE IS BEEING INVITED TO MORE SHOWS
    BACK TO OUR CONSTITUTION!!!!!!!!!

WHOM DO YOU WANT TO FOOL WITH THIS DUNCAN HUNTER THING ?
DO YOU THINK HE IS GOING TO WIN THE NOMINATION ?
GET REAL, YOU CAN SUPPORT A LOSER IF YOU WANT BUT DON'T KEEP TRYING TO COBNVINCE OTHERS TO SUPPORT HIM .
    I RESPECT YOUR OPTION .
Do you really "think" that Ron Paul is going to win???

He has NO chance of winning!!

He may have enough money to keep him in the race a long time, but he is NOT going to win.

You might want to ask yourself...........

Why would he vote NO in 2005 against Hunter's fence and border security bill??

Why does he not have any plans for going after employers???
Do you really believe if Congress passed a bill for the fence and passed a bill to go after employers that Ron Paul will veto the bill. Get real Bush is a CFR member and he signed the fence bill, no doubt Ron Paul will oblige us Patriots.
Rep. Paul is a cosponsor of H.R. 793, the Save Our Small and Seasonal Business Act of 2005, to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to limit the timing of issuance of H-2B visas during a fiscal year. Specifically, H.R. 793 would split the H-2B visa cap so no more than 33,000 visas are made available for the first six months the fiscal year, and another 33,000 visas would be available in the second half of the year. However, H.R. 793 exempts from the annual cap aliens granted an H-2B visa within three years prior to approval of an H-2B petition, thus potentially TRIPLING the number of H-2B workers in the United States at any one time. Although timing the issuance of H-2B visas is a common-sense approach that would help prevent the situation that occurred in FY 2004 and FY 2005 when the 66,000 annual cap on H-2B (low-skill) nonimmigrant visas was hit within the first quarter of the year, H.R. 793 would ultimately harm American workers by creating exemptions which potentially could triple the number of H-2B workers in the U.S. at any given time. Nearly doubled H-1B foreign high-tech workers in 1998

    and

Voted on House floor against Hunter amendment to increase security with border fence in 2005 Rep. Paul voted against the Hunter Amendment to H.R. 4437, the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. The Hunter Amendment would shore up security by building fences and other physical infrastructure to keep out illegal aliens. Specifically, it mandates the construction of specific security fencing, including lights and cameras, along the Southwest border for the purposes of gaining operational control of the border. As well, it includes a requirement for the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a study on the use of physical barriers along the Northern border. The Hunter Amendment passed by a vote of 260-159.

If he actually said this, it’s unfortunate. Lincoln didn’t go to war to free the slaves. He went to war because he was attacked and to squash a rebellion and put the South in their unrepresented place mostly for economic advantage for the North.
Uhm, all that stuff you state is exactly Ron Paul's position on the subject, that the war was NOT about abolishing slavery. If we wanted to abolish slavery it might have been done without going to war.

If you want to see him address the subject, look on youtube for his 1st interview with Bill Maher (in may I believe). He specifically states that the Civil war was not about slavery.

I think a lot of you recent posters from the last few months that have been so vocal for Romney, have been sent here from Free Republic to stir the pot. Why would anyone want someone who is for everything we have been fighting against the last few years and defeated, to win?

I think Tancredo endorsed him in the heat of the moment after reading that opinion piece that got everyone here riled up from the blogger at Lou Rockwell. He wanted Ron Paul to defend himself against an article that didn't even come from his mouth. In the meantime Romney declared on Tim Russert's show just this week that he would do everything that we defeated with the comprehensive immigration bill. Now people want to vote for him???

This after talking to him for 1 hour. Sure he got promises from Romney just like we got the fence even after the bill was passed, financed and signed by the President.
Just to be taken back at the last minute, and we are to believe the lies of this chosen one. The face time he gets alone from the MSM is enough to know not to trust one of their chosen few.

Tancredo campaign workers and advisers were even shocked by the endorsement.

    As was I.

Most of what Russert was bringing up about immigration was from 20 years ago, 1987 and as RP said, circumstances can change with time.

He usually has thought out reasons for not supporting some bills that you may think sound wonderful, probably because he is the only one that reads them.

Come on Bren, 789 posts in 4 months, mostly against Ron Paul!

usanevada 379 in less than a month, mostly touting Romney.

Goods points and keep in mind I still have faith that Tom Tancredo is more of a genius than we think. He may have very well put support behind Romney for the good of other candidates since his percentages were so dismal.

Hunter has never had any corruption charges levied against him and you know it. Making such a statement certainly tells me all I need to know about you! I would say do your homework, but something tells me you already know that Hunter has never been brought up on charges of corruption.

You quote a line, then ask "if he really said this.." uhmm... AuntB - c'mon, move along. We "know" you don't like Ron Paul -- please abstain from ALWAYS mentioning Dr. Paul in your posts in a negative fashion. I mean, you post an article about Duncan Hunter and then tell us about Ron Paul caller - hilarious.... I mean, do I go on every thread and somehow infilitrate Hunters corruption charges? I could - but I tend to think that its better to promote one's own canddiate that consistently trying to bash another. Don't be so afraid, its obvious -- Its laughable because the VERY same elites who promote these wars for "special interests" are the very same ones who want open borders and the NAU...-- so support your CFR lackeys once Hunter drops out.
Don't you think it's time you learned to live with the fact that some of us can see right through Ron Paul?

So where is the fence. It, along with most stuff the American people want, is intentionally forgotten by our present president, I mean King.Ron Paul is a Constitutionalist. If the people want it they will get it.

See through him to what MW? That is what I haven't understood about most of the Paul bashers, they act like they know something that others don't.

I like his message, and after seeing this Glenn Beck interview and the Meet the Press interview IMO you couldn't ask for a more honest man.

Remember what the Japanese said after bombing Pearl Harbor "I'm afraid we have awoken a sleeping tiger"...that is the America I would like to be...a relaxing tiger ready to pounce if anyone messes with us but peaceful otherwise instead of going out looking for trouble in places that really should be no concern of ours.
Immigration reform should reflect a commitment to enforcement, not reward those who blatantly break the rules. - Rep Dan Boren D-Ok

That was planned by Beck who did a terrible job IMO. He question a Presidential candidate about stuff that Ron Paul had no idea about, for good reason Paul had nothing to do with the accusations, and then brought up Sutton out of the blue with no relation to the Border or the Border Patrol agents. IMO Beck is an idiot!
