You southernors need to get laws in place eliminating or making bi-lingual education in YOUR STATE illegal NOW before your school officials
start hiring more bi-lingual teachers WASTING your tax dollars while catering to ILLEGALS and anchors!

YOU MUST DO THIS NOW NOT LATER! Ron Unz of California is the man to contact and you must get funding to fight these programs! Bi--lingual education was voted out in California, Arizona, and Mass and even if the kids are ILLEGAL they must speak English and you must keep the Spanish OUT!

Judy, here in the city of Denver there is a screwed up bunch of Hispanic parent called Padres Unidos. United Parents! They like to scream racism and can't figure out why Hispanic kids here are not learning. Well Judy, if you folks in the south don't organize and attend school board meetings and get elected to these boards then groups like Padres Unidos will form in your communities. Your tax dollars will be wasted!

You southerners have to remember that this isn't a white black thing but legal verses ILLEGAL. I am a westerner and I don't know NC or Tennessee but from what I see on Spanish television news, which generally disgusts me, I see lots of illegals arrving to work in your fields and such. You have to act quickly or it will be too late!

Yes Judy it angers me too! Colorado has seen the same thing the last ten years. Unfortunately, the newspapers are so bleeding hearted liberal that they seee these immigrants as nothing more than people "looking for a better life" Like it is a cute little game or something.

TOO many Americans of the liberal left don't understand that 100 million Latinos are ready to come here tomorrow. If it wasn't such a long swim from South America they would already be here.

I understaand they are moving into richer areas of Denver and maybe when the public schools start to fall apart moe people will wake up but these rotten politicians and mostly D's (Bush and McCain too!) will do nothing.

JackSmith--the politicians supporting CAFTA are Republicans. Those of us who are Republicans have been betrayed by our own Party. Yes, the very liberal Democrats that never met an alien they didn't like such as Ted Kennedy, John Kerry are part of the problem as well, but unfortunately Bushey Boy and his Pay Girls and Pay Boys in the GOP are the ones selling us out at the moment....and probably have been without our knowledge since Bush One.

When CAFTA passes, all the countries which I think is up to 25 that can join the treaty....will be able to enter LEGALLY. Talk about a Flood....get out your High Waders!!

Judy, CAFTA only encompasses the 7 Central American nations and the Dominican Republic or do all those Caribbean countries come into it too?
FTAA will put the rest of the South American countries into it.....the problem is labor and disposable income. Our rotten greedy CEO's close our plants for the cheap labor and most of the corrupted Latin nations have no environmental or labor laws so the people work for little and cannot buy our goods even if they wanted to do so! Who wins? Nobody long term but the greedy corporations cut their costs with the cheap labor their profit margins shoot through the roof. THEY CAN POLLUTE AT WILL IN A PLACE LIKE HONDURAS!

The State Department encourages all of this with your tax dollars!

JackSmith, it is my understanding that CAFTA has a clause that allows other nations to join...up to 25, I read somewhere. There is the initial 6 plus I guess the DR, Dominican Republic and then 19 more from the original 6 making for 25. I don't know which countries, perhaps the Caribbean countries and some others.

Can anyone clarify on this? I found the article some time back before we were working on CAFTA and did not post it. Darn it. I don't know if I can find it again.

BUT, all this time I've been under the impression that 19 more can join CAFTA once CAFTA is ratified.
