What that scum Ruben doesn't seem to understand is that the rule of law here in America basically says is that illegal aliens are NOT allowed in this country,period. So what he is doing is encouraging the breaking of our American laws. He must be stopped.

a) Ruben likes to think he appears "fair and logical", which is why in the past he was seen as being on "both" sides of the issue
b) since his move to SAN DIEGO he has dropped all pretense, though still trying to appear "fair and logical"....
c) I challenged him to answer this question:

if the pre-1965 country quota system was wrong because it discriminated in FAVOR of white Europeans, then why is it not now wrong to condone a de facto discrimination that favors Mexicans?

He did answer me by saying that there is no discrimination because there is "no government-mandated" discrimination..... I reminded him of the word "de facto".... but he merely said he might consider a column on this perspective in the future ..... that was 3 months ago....

Actually there is one law that benefits Mexicans. only It is an exemption from the 7% per-country limit for category F2A. F2A is minor children of green card holders. Many illegal aliens that received amnesty left their children back home and subsequently sponsored them under category F2A. Since most illegal aliens are from Mexico, this exemption reduced the waiting times for Mexicans and raised them for everyone else. It is government mandated discrimination.

Anybody who puts their race or ethnicity above country is a racist traitor.

I'm not an expert on this issue, but I think it's related to the fact that Latin America-most of the Western Hemisphere, in fact-used to be one of the regions with no numberical quotas. It wasn't like China, Japan, or Eastern Europe. If you were Mexican you could generally immigrate to the U.S. However, the problem is that at that time there were also no attempts by the feds to thwart high-end immigration from Western countries in the Anglosphere, or Western Europe. Now you have de jure or de facto penalties for people who come from advanced, Western nations, while Mexicans get 40% or more of the immigration visas that come from certain pools.

If anyone in Congress made an attempt to treat Mexicans equally they would be castigated by the media, and keehauled by traitors like Edward Kennedy.
