His vote is up now and it is basically saying, but we don't care if you don't.

English is the unifying and "National" language of the US; those who don't speak English won't be punished.

Like any other law (if this passes), it's only as good as its enforcement. I fear we are buying into the hype. I applaud the fact that English only is an amendment. But I believe it's only window dressing. CA passed a law to make English the official language. Believe me, you wouldn't know it by all the Spanish on the ballots (even local elections) or by the "press one for English, press 2 for Spanish" crap.

Please people, don't allow yourselves to fall for these smoke screens. They will use this English only amendment to try to persuade people to support their Senate bill. DON"T BE FOOLED.

Unreal that such a vote is taking place.

FYI......I'm trying to keep up so remember I'm changing the TITLE of this thread to referrence what vote is up on the floor.
