    Salazar amendment

These politicians love to play games. Received the following email.

Senator Salazar Ken Salazar (D-CO) submitted an amendment (#3994) to the
Senate Immigration Bill (S.2661) on May 16 that at first blink seems to
stop the guest worker programs. This newsletter examines whether Salazar is
our one true hero in the Senate, and more importantly whether we can
finally stop worrying that the middle class is about to be destroyed by a
massive influx of willing workers from foreign countries.

The amendment promises to "To prohibit implementation of title IV and title
VI". To understand exactly what Salazar is talking about, scroll down to
the section below Bush's speech to see what sections of S. 2611 are
    pertinent.

Salazar's amendment deals only with Title IV and VI which covers the H-2C
visa for non-skilled workers and grants amnesty for illegal aliens. For all
of you that oppose amnesty, #3994 would seem to stop it in its tracks - OR
    DOES IT?

    #3994 doesn't touch Title V which contains H-1B, F-4, or employment based
green cards. How convenient! Apparently Salazar is far more concerned about
the security risks of lettuce pickers than the risk posed from aliens are
allowed to work at our high-tech companies, hospitals, schools, and
    government research labs.

Salazar's amendment #3994 passed by an impressive 79-16 vote of the Senate.

OK, time for the reality check.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If the Salazar amendment seems too good to be true, that's because it is!
It does nothing to stop the massive importation of non-skilled workers.
Keep in mind that by non-skilled we are talking about anyone that doesn't
have a university degree in science or technology - which is probably about
98% of workers in the U.S.

Ammendment #3994 allows Title IV, which includes the massive H-2C to kick
in anytime the "President determines that implementation of such titles
will strengthen the national security of the United States."

Here is the kicker: Bush has already said that a guestworker program is
absolutely necessary for national security. To put it simply, the Salazar
amendment is totally meaningless - in Washington DC this type of charade is
called "feel-good legislation". Do you feel good now?

#3994 gets even more farcical when you look at who voted "YEA" because many
of them are some of the biggest supporters of open-borders and guestworker
visas. When you look at the list be sure to note how many Democrats voted
for this charade. Some of the most notable include: Boxer (D-CA), Clinton
    (D-NY), D), Feinstein (D-CA), Kennedy (D-MA), Kerry (D-MA), Lieberman
(D-CT), and their fearless leader Reid (D-NV). Of course the usual crowd of
corporate toadies in the Republican party also voted for it, including
    Chambliss (R-GA), Domenici (R-NM), Frist (R-TN), Grassley (R-IA), Hatch
(R-UT), Kyl (R-AZ), Specter (R-PA). Surprisingly McCain didn't vote. When
you look at who voted for #3994 you can't help but be suspicious about its
    intent.

In Bush's May 15th speech he gave two reasons why guestworkers are
necessary for national security. The Salazar amendment only requires Bush
to give one reason. Salazar submitted his amendment one day after Bush's
speech, which only adds to the comedic nature of these legislative hiccups.

His statements about national security are delimited with *** for emphasis.

Second, to *** secure our border,*** we must create a temporary worker
program. The reality is that there are many people on the other side of our
border who will do anything to come to America to work and build a better
life. They walk across miles of desert in the summer heat, or hide in the
back of 18-wheelers to reach our country. This creates enormous pressure on
our border that walls and patrols alone will not stop.

To secure the border effectively, we must reduce the numbers of people
    trying to sneak across.

Therefore, I support a temporary worker program that would create a legal
path for foreign workers to enter our country in an orderly way, for a
limited period of time. This program would match willing foreign workers
with willing American employers for jobs Americans are not doing. Every
worker who applies for the program would be required to pass criminal
background checks. And temporary workers must return to their home country
at the conclusion of their stay.

A temporary worker program would meet the needs of our economy, and it
would give honest immigrants a way to provide for their families while
respecting the law. A temporary worker program would reduce the appeal of
human smugglers, and make it less likely that people would risk their lives
to cross the border. It would ease the financial burden on state and local
governments, by replacing illegal workers with lawful taxpayers.

And above all, a temporary worker program would add to our
*** security *** by making certain we know who is in our country and why
    they are here.

    S.2611
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006

    Title IV
Creates an H-2C nonimmigrant visa for aliens for so-called low skilled
workers. It has an annual "cap" of 325,000 that increases up to 20 percent
each year the cap is met.

    Title V

SEC. 501. ELIMINATION OF EXISTING BACKLOGS
    Employment-Based Green Cards
450,000, for each of the fiscal years 2007 through 2016
290,000, for fiscal year 2017 and each subsequent fiscal year

    SEC. 507. STUDENT VISAS
    Unlimited F-4 Visa

SEC. 508. VISAS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH ADVANCED DEGREES
Aliens who have earned an advanced degree in science, technology,
engineering, or math from an accredited university in the United States are
exempted from yearly cap on H-1Bs. In other words, H-1B is unlimited for
    them.

The H-1B cap is increased from 65,000 per to 115,000 and can increase by as
much as 120% per year if all of the visas for the previous year was used.
There are no provisions for reducing the cap if the all visas are not used.

    Title VI
    Amnesty for illegal aliens

That thick viscous material sliding down your face, the feeling obtained constantly for so may years, is merely the elites spitting upon you.

That moist yucky feeling will continue, unabated, until real action/reform occurs.

I will not hold my breath.

We, the people, can give one vote each.

Elites can give each other dollars, many millions of them. Legally.

Our combined millions of votes can oust a face-spitting elite politician. But, who replaces the one ousted? Typically one that the elite's system ordains to be suitable. THe elite-owned media effects so many voters who are unable or unwilling to think for themselves.

An ousted politico does not suffer. The elite-run political/financial system embraces them, ensuring their bretheren continue their luxurious lifestyles while we continue to contend with millions of invaders and with too many of us experiencing a decline in our economic well-being.

And the merry-go-round of life continues. No real meaningful changes. Those are nigh-on impossible. Might as well get used to watching your culture be shoved aside as the elite class and the multi-millions of invaders continue to push you down, ever downwards, until your grandchildren or their kids notice that they are living a 2nd-world life in a 2nd-world culture and they curse their forebearers for not taking the required action outside the elite-owned and operated system that has deceived ud for so many decades.
