This is outrageous. This "ethnic" La Raza bull and all the other "empowerment" organizations that promote and lobby by "ethnicity" need to be frowned upon to the point where it ends. The very notion of promoting judges, attorneys, police chiefs, law students, politicians, officials and so forth based on ones "heritage" or the support of you and your group because of your heritage is not only a violation of the 14th Amendment, it is dumb and dangerous as we can see by what Trump has exposed.

Many of us here have known this for sometime. Now the whole country will be aware of it. This is a good thing. I don't believe Americans want our public officials, attorneys, politicians, law students let alone judges being involved with or associated with ethnicity promotion groups whose goal is to advance people into positions of power and authority based on their "roots", "country of their parents", ethnic origin, gender or race.

The purpose of the 14th Amendment was to protect black Americans against the worst example of institutional racism in the world. It was not to empower Spanish-speakers over and above the rest of the population.
