McMansion Owners Demand Cheep Illegal Alien Labor

With the proliferation of "Super Sized Homes" in recent years, owners of these "Hummer Homes" have become spoiled with cheep illegal alien labor, to service their "McMansions". Many of these "garage mahals" ,"faux chateauxs" ,"starter castles"and "tract castles", require an army of cheep labor to keep them functional. There is grass cutting, shrubbery pruning, and landscaping that needs to be done on a regular basis. Add in house keepers to tidy up these +5000sf homes, and the cost to owners of these behemoths of real estate might get a little costly, save for the cheep illegal alien labor from south of the border, which they welcome with open arms.

So you see a segment of our population who may oppose our efforts here. What can be done about this? Perhaps a total housing bubble crash would solve this problem. What are your thoughts?

Here in Colorado, I hear the housing bubble is beginning to "fray around the edges". I understand from a friend in real estate that there are over 30,000 homes on the market in the Denver metro area down the hill from where I live in the mountains.

Frankly, I would love to see it bust wide open.

These McMansions are just ego driven. All they do is drive the housing market up and cause real estate taxes to hike.

Of course they need cheap labor. You need it to take care of these behemoths cause I'm sure both mommy and daddy are working full time to pay for them.

How are you going to convince these "wannabees" to scale it down? Not that is the $24K question. I guess they feel "entitled" because "they've worked for it". I see that as pretty short sighted.

You pose a good question. I certainly can't think of any way to make them see the bigger picture. Any suggestions?

I read and article in our local paper, The Oregonian, that the amount of people applying for mortgages is down from last year. Maybe this is the start of the bubble bursting, finally.

These McMansions have taken over once lovely rural farmlands that had old victorian homes with barns, that I used to love to drive by and see. Now the area is covered with these huge, overpriced homes like scabs.

I all too often see landscape companies who obviously have hired illegals, making the yards look picture perfect.

These homes represent the worst in Americans greed and desire to "have". Of course they would then feel justified in hiring illegals to keep it all nice, it's all in the lifestyle.

Hope this real estate market crashes here to be honest, anything to bring this ridiculous trend of lenders and agents of blocking out lower incomed working families, and hopefully putting all those illegals hired to build the houses, out of work.

Hmmm... By the time you have a master suite, a guest room, an office, a music room, an exercise room, a home theater and the other necessary rooms, you're up to a minimum of about 3500 sf. How is a guy supposed to get by with less than that?

That housing bubble is just around the corner. Interest rates are going up next week too.

    Illegal are seeping in

This is so true. My town has become one McMansion after another. Suddenly I'm seeing a trickle of what looks to be illegals walking past my house each morning.
Being there are no sidewalks in my area most everyone drives. These people are walking from a bus stop about a mile away. I'm sure if they weren't legal they'd be driving.

The difference between hiring illegal labor versus legal labor isn't worth undermining the Constitution and the laws that are the foundation that the United States is built upon.

Is sure is here in the Boulder area. The buyers broker I used when I bought my place 10 years ago regularly sends out charts and figures on home sales and prices in the area. Since 2001 Prices have stayed flat for single family homes and declined for townhouses/condos. For both the time on market has gone up.
