I have not seen much solar in use in Texas. It may be more in urban areas (I try to avoid them), but not so much out in the boonies. It just doesn't seem like much for a state so full of sunshine.

Recently, in Colorado, I was amazed by the number of homes that had solar panels. Also, I did see small groupings of solar panels here and there. I'm not sure their purpose - but there were many homes.

I wonder if it is cheaper in CO - or if maybe energy is more costly which makes the investment more sensible?

That may be something I ask people when I get back there.

The toxicity in producing them is something I didn't know and had never thought about.
