The Washington Times quoted Sen. Feinstein as saying she's gotten 8,000 angry calls but she didn't think that was very significant (although that would be about one call every two minutes). She said 30,000 might make her think something was going on.

We are calling all her offices non-stop. We want to flood her with calls, faxes, e-mails.

Sen. Feinstein has regularily scheduled breakfasts for constituants (how BIG of her). One of the women who went to lobby in Washington with the talk radio shows went to a recent breakfast. Sen. Feinstein talked about anything BUT the amnesty bill. She talked about the war in Iraq and said you can't dress it up and call it something else. When she finished talking she asked for questions and all but one was about illegal immigration. She stuck to her talking points. "It isn't amnesty", "We can't deport 12 million people", and "the recent ICE roundups had seperated nursing mothers from their babies". She said she'd take one more question and picked our lobbist. She stood up and introduced herself and told Sen. Feinstein, "Yes, we can deport 12 million people. We're America." She continued, "However, we're not even asking to have them all deported. We want our boarders secured and our current immigration and employment laws enforced and most will self deport". She continued, "Of course, we can build fences or walls that work, we sent men to the moon". She finished by saying,"And Sen. Feinstein, as an American, if I was a nursing mother and I broke the law, I would expect I'd be seperated from my baby". The entire room erupted in applause and Sen. Feinstein mumbled something about it being an "emotional issue" and left.
