Sen. Schumer: ‘I Met With Lou Dobbs’ To Discuss Immigrat

By Nicholas Ballasy, Video Reporter
(CNSNews.com) – Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Citizenship, said Congress is moving forward with immigration reform and that he personally had met with Lou Dobbs to discuss the issue, an apparently surprising development given that Dobbs, a former CNN anchor, is known for his outspoken criticism of past congressional attempts at immigration reform.
Schumer made his remarks at a Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday when a reporter asked about President Barack Obama’s comments concerning immigration in his State of the Union speech.
“Yes, we are making good progress," Schumer said. "The progress that – the work that we’re doing in the fall is continuing now. We're meeting with all different kinds of groups, trying to get everybody together to come out for one bill. In fact, yesterday, I met with Lou Dobbs who, as many of you know, is changing his views on immigration."

tourists...not immigrants
Mexican illegal boarder crosser's stealing the name of immigrant is an outlandish slap in the face of true immigrants. An immigrant as defined, leaving his country for America assimilates and lovingly swears an allegiance to the country, our American ideals and our laws. Border crosser's leave nothing...they come here to strip our country and send the plunder home to Mexico...cursing America keeping an allegiance to a foreign nation. Many breed for entitlements. Harsh but true. Their disregard for our laws and our countries disregard for the law abuses both the country and the illegal’s. Mexico uses America as a second home away from home. They are tourists. Not immigrants.
Why does Congress and industry support immigration? Because...illegal "citizenry" are very easy to manipulate and abuse AND it strips away YOUR birth rights...gives government power over you/us through entitlement programs (that you pay for)… which takes money out of the pockets of America through a fine called taxes (that you don't have because you don't work) and gives it to the immigrants that entices/brings in more immigrants that perpetuate the growth of the immigration machinery (that you pay for).
I honest to God sympathize with the TRUE bleeding heart liberals. It may seem I do not have a heart but I am very much a humanitarian. But self preservation is a very strong human instinct. We simply have to do the math.

And Lou Dobbs the poster boy now for amnesty. Just goes to show that his show was just to get names and e mail addresses. I bet Lou was government owned from day one. Same as Glenn Beck... don't sign up on Glenn Beck websites.. Saudi Arabia is now the second controlling interest of FOX NEWS...

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand isn't the only one whose poll numbers are slipping.
Her political champion and mentor, Sen. Chuck Schumer, has seen his approval rating continue a downward slide.
He's dropped below the all-important 50% approval mark for the first time since 2001, according to a Marist Poll released Monday.
Forty-seven percent of New York voters statewide say Schumer is doing a "good" or "excellent" job, while 31% gave him a rating of "fair" and 17% say he's performing poorly.
In April 2001, 49% approved of the job Schumer was doing.
This isn't his all-time Marist low, however. That came in March 2000, when just 39% of voters statewide gave the senior senator good grades.
Schumer's decline is most precipitous in New York City, where his approval rating dropped from 57% to 51% in just two weeks.
"Sen. Schumer is not immune from the anti-incumbent sentiment among voters, but it would take a major effort to unseat him," said Marist pollster Lee Miringoff.
