    I'm not sure, but It says on the screen that they still don't know how they are going to proceed with the amendments.

    On the Screen:

    S1639 changes immigration policy, border security, visa requirements, and number of immigrants allowed.

    Changed from what? The last bill (134 or the policies we now have?

    So they have rarely read the full text of the amendments in the past, why are they doing that now?:

    1. They want to limit actual debate time by running the clock with readings?

    2. They think too many Americans are currently watching the Senate floor so they are trying to wait till later to debate?

    3. Its happy hour and they can't pull Kennedy out of the bar?

    Well, I hate to tell you all this, but they are reading the entire bill. Must have been a republican who requested this, seeing as they want to have so many pages. Hee Hee.
