    Republicans in a nutshell!

The problem with the Republican Party nationally and even here in California is the "big government" concept, this will never work with out being a socialist Nation or Union (NAU, N&SAU)!

    Example:
People are not stupid whether white, black, hispanic... the Republicans can not demand big government military unconstitutional intervention with no bid contracts for "their" buddies. People know the corrupt have started a war with a country that is no threat to our nation just so their buddies will have contracts paid with our tax dollars and the people will rather vote for socialist so the money is used here for them, not that I agree just what I'm hearing from people I talk too! Unbiased people, who are neither conservative or liberal think this way!

Conservatives who care will be joining other parties because we know that this is not about "a" or "the" party in fact some like me believe we should not have parties just issues. In result no gang like mentality when we go to vote!

This is sad to say, but as long as we are fighting foreign wars costing about $1 trillion per year, our Federal Government will never go back to being "small". If we'd go after Bin Laden as we're supposed to, and not saber rattle with Iran and get out of Iraq as soon as possible, it would be a positive step (hopefully) to getting back to a smaller government. At least it'd be a start.

We also give way too much military and economic aid to other nations around the world, friendly or otherwise. This adds to our awfully high spending. I'd rather pull back the bulk of our military to our country and territories, and spend money on the National Guard, Border Patrol, ICE, Coast Guard, and fencing. Get rid of Homeland Security...it's awfully expensive and not very efficient.

Having the National Guard back in our country would be great because they could guard our borders, as well as assist with natural disasters.

Anytime anyones life gets out of control....the first thing they tell them to do is get back to the basics because all the rest is static junk. Seems there needs to be more concern to cleaning our own house...just saying no other peoples problems....seperating needs from wants....a "mental health day" to take a breather....a halt to reassess the situation.....we are spread too thin, too many demands, too many false expectations....time for some tough love before we all go under.

Iran Oil Bourse to deal blow to dollar
    Fri, 04 Jan 2008 20:45:41

    Iran's Finance Minister Davoud Danesh-Jafari
The long-awaited Iranian Oil Bourse, a place for trading oil, petrochemicals and gas in various non-dollar currencies, will soon open.

Iran's Finance Minister Davoud Danesh-Jafari told reporters the bourse will be inaugurated during the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution (February 1-11) at the latest.

"All preparations have been made to launch the bourse; it will open during the Ten-Day Dawn (the ceremonies marking the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran)," he said.

The Minister had earlier stated that the Oil Bourse is located on the Persian Gulf island of Kish.

Some expert opinions hold inauguration of the bourse cold significantly devalue the greenback.
