    Richard Burr & Elizabeth Dole

How can we get these One Worlder Neocon's out of office before they sell out what's left of our state down the river and turn North Carolina into a Central American slum?

ifcdirector--Hi!! Glad to see your discussion topic. You've asked a very good question. Burr voted against CAFTA. He writes letters saying he is opposed to illegal immigration. Dole voted for CAFTA and doesn't even have as selections for topics on her emails either "trade" or "immigration". Burr and my Representative has both so you can check them when you send an email about the topic. DOLE basically said screw it and doesn't even let you mark it so she knows the subject. I put emails to her in National Defense, the only choice she offers that fits either topic.

We need to discuss a plan and get it into action.

I think we should march on all 50 state capitals and get the Governors involved. They head up the parties for the most part in all their states and could bring the concerns to the attention of both political parties.

We need to work on Burr and make him the anti-illegal immigration Senator and hope he would take a stronger lead to help us.

Dole...I'm not sure what you do with her except make sure she doesn't get any more votes.

It's late and I need a fresh mind to address Elizabeth Dole. I am so upset with her.

Now I know why "BOB" couldn`t get an errection.
If I were a "War Hero" and turned over in my bed only to see a "Traitor" I wouldn`t be thinking of an "Errection" either.
    I would be thinking "Ejection".

Yep....they say it was the result of prostate cancer.

BUT I must agree that Dole is a Traitor and that destroys any loveliness she may have had at one time. No doubt about it. She is a Globalist. I mean she doesn't even have "immigration" the hottest political issue of the year or "trade" the next hottest political issue of the year on her darn "select a topic" panel for people sending her emails!!!

THAT means, she wasn't even going to waste her time responding. They are all buried in National Defense or whatever other button people might have chosen.

Cites new side agreements good for textile and benefits for agriculture; calls for increased enforcement of trade agreements

Washington, D.C. - Senator Richard Burr today voted in favor of the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), which passed the Senate by a vote of 54-45.

“I believe CAFTA, with the new side agreements, will provide opportunities for economic growth in North Carolina. I am pleased that the side agreements addressed my initial concerns about CAFTA’s textile provisions because without these assurances, I could not have supported CAFTA, Burr said after the vote.

Burr outlined his support for CAFTA in remarks on the floor of the United States Senate on Thursday. In his remarks, Burr applauded efforts by the textile industry and the Administration to negotiate side agreements concerning:

    • Pockets and linings - The U.S. Trade Representative will utilize the CAFTA amendment process to help ensure that $100 million in U.S. pocketing and lining exports to the region are not lost.
    • Cumulation - The Bush Administration has reaffirmed its commitment to negotiate an aggressive customs enforcement agreement with Mexico before the cumulation provisions of CAFTA can be used.
    • Trade Preference Levels - Nicaragua has committed to allocate its trade preference levels (TPLs) to its current non-qualifying US trade, ensuring that existing US business is not impacted by this provision.

Burr also called for vigorous enforcement of trade agreements. “The key to making this trade agreement an economic success for North Carolina, though, is enforcement, Burr said on the floor. “I am a proponent of free trade, but I am an even bigger proponent of fair trade. The rules must be enforced. I intend to make sure that neither this nation nor our partner countries turn a blind-eye to the provisions set out and the assurances made in CAFTA.

The House of Representatives has yet to vote on the agreement.

Additional Excerpts from Senator Burr’s speech:

“CAFTA will provide garment makers in the region with a critical advantage in competing with Asia, particularly Chinese, garment manufacturers. This is crucial for one very important reason: those regional garment makers buy their yarn, their fabric, from American companies. Many of these companies are based in North Carolina. Those American companies buy their cotton from American farmers.

“Without CAFTA, more and more garment manufacturing will simply find its way to China to be manufactured. As Central American manufacturers are forced out by Chinese manufacturers, more American jobs will be put at risk – for the simple fact that Chinese manufacturers do not use American yarn, they do not use American fabric, and they do not use American cotton.

“Current agricultural trade between the United States and the region can be a one-way street. That street is often closed to our farmers by regional barriers. CAFTA will remove those barriers, increasing access for U.S. farmers. With exports accounting for 20% of North Carolina’s farm cash receipts almost $1.5 billion, my State’s farmers stand to make tremendous gains in Central American markets.

    CAFTA Passes Senate
Straight from C-SPAN, it is official. CAFTA just passed the Senate with a vote of 54-45.

Republican Senators who voted NO on CAFTA:

    Senator
    Burns (Montana)
    Collins (Maine)
    Craig (Idaho)
    Crapo (Idaho)
    Enzi (Wyoming)
    Graham (South Carolina)
    Shelby (Alabama)
    Snowe (Maine)
    Specter (Pennsylvania)
    Thomas (Wyoming)
    Thune (South Dakota)
    Vitter (Louisiana)
Above is the list of Republicans who voted AGAINST CAFTA.

Note that BURR is NOT on the list. He is a flat-out liar. He also wrote me that he was going to oppose it and, then, I heard him with my own ears get up there and give a speech telling us how much it was going to help North Carolina and that he was going to vote FOR it. I wrote him a scathing letter and told him that he was now exposed as just another one of BUsh's sycophants just like Dole. He let himself be BOUGHT.

EVERYONE!! I take about 2 days to get some work done last week and I missed, totally missed, this Traitorous BURR event. I posetd a document that had all the ROLL CALL VOTES. Does anyone remember seeing it? I checked BOND in Missouri and he voted YES and somehow I missed in my haste to check that traitor BURR. Now, I can not find that document.

We need to plaster it on our boards somehow so we can see their VOTES and all who come new to the forum can see with their own eyes that US SENATE is nothing but insects.

You can't take your eye off these parasites for a second!!

Oooooh, I am so mad at BURR--He is a Traitor beyond imagine, because he told everybody that he was voting NO!!
