    Mexican Credit Card Fraud Here In Raleigh

    I just got a copy of my Target Visa card statement back with over $10,000 in fraudulent charges on it all done down in Mexico. A man told me that Mexican clerks in restaurants and shops will take down or record your credit card number somehow when they take it for payment then forward it on down to Mexico where they charge whatever they like on it. And now I have to file a police report, do paperwork, etc and I am the one who has been victimized here. The next time I talk to them I am going to let them know that perhaps they should not be so gung ho now on making me press "1 for English" or having Spanish language signage in their stores for that matter. As for using any of my credit cards ever again anywhere they will not leave my hand if going into the hand of another Mexican in this town or any other for that matter and I advise you to do the same. They cannot be trusted sadly enough but then again most of them that are illegal have already broken the law so what's a little credit card fraud right? Just watch out and insist on keeping an eye on your card when you use it and don't hand it off to obviously non-American clerks for your own safety. Welcome to your new future.

    Sorry to learn of your problem. Please excuse me for this, but I'd have to say that your first problem is in purchasing things from Target. I heard that those stores are owned by a French conglomerate. And I personally have no respect for the French.

    A few nights ago I went to pay one of my charges over the phone and, low and behold
    I get connected to INDIA. {deep accent and I asked if I was speaking to someone in the USA}

    Well, he said India and I then said......INDIA! Excuse me? Oh, but I'm sorry......I will only speak to someone in the United States....I can't understand you. {I could but what the hey}

    After a few secs of saying, "nope, sorry....I want to speak to an AMERICAN please. I can't do money transactions with someone who I don't understand."

    Ok, please wait mrs....please wait. Ok

    Bam....got a wonderful American gal who I did tell how disturbed I was. Her sweet reply was that she gets that all the time and will certainly like to pass it on.

    American Phone Support

    I do the same thing. I ask them continually if they are in the United States or an American citizen. If they say no, or even understand the question, I instruct them to put me through to someone who is an American. If we all refused to deal with anyone who is calling from India or another country then Americans would find these jobs are available to them again. I am glad you brought this up as I have never thought of publicizing my own practice which was born more out of frustration in trying to resolve problems through the foreign phone support workers many of whom have a poor grasp of English. I can remember having Americans on the phone in the past when I needed phone support.

    I often ask the person on the other end of the phone line just exactly where he or she is located. If they don't say USA, then I won't do business with them. I had McAfee security on my computer for awhile and when I went to renew my security service I found out I was talking to a guy in the Phillipines, plus I think McAfee might be an Irish company. Then I went to a different security firm, but I haven't yet learned where they are headquartered. Probably India, yuck.

    Exactly.......and I'm stubborn, lol. My feet are planted firmly and I'm not budging! I will not knowingly give my greenback to anyone other than an American now.

    TARGET is pfrench. I've not stepped foot in there in some years. Any store that refuses to say Merry Christmas is on my shit list let alone is owned by NON allies.

    THIS is the perfect boycott people!! DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!

    I am sorry to hear about your credit card. I don't know about Target cards but Citibank and American Express eat the loss when stuff like that occurs. A few more of those and maybe the corporations will rethink their stand on illegal immigration.

    This may send a message to the companies who are outsourcing our jobs for the almighty bottom line benefit. YEP this is good!

    I've never had my card copied but I am not in an area that is fully invaded yet. I have however had to deal with people in other countries for tech support and it blew my patience to a limit that was not healthy. I refuse to deal with them and write the software people telling them so.

    I just read that Washington Mutual is going to cut 1400 American jobs and send them to the philippines. The FDIC controls the banks why is our government allowing them to outsource when they are making the rules?

    Um... cause our government doesn't give a rat's arse about US citizens? Is that a news flash? The president doesn't care. The congress doesn't care. All they all care about is lining their pockets with money from companies who hire illegals or people in other countires.

    The same credit card scam happened in Hendersonville, NC a year to a year and half ago. Thousands of charges in Mexico. New Mexican restaurant opened there complete with wire transfer office for Mexico.
    I won't go to Mexican restaurants anymore.
