SEND FAXES TO POLITICIANS FROM YOUR COMPUTER!

Don't know if I am stepping out of line in broadcasting this, but for those of you who do not have a fax machine and/or would like to cut down on the long distance fax charges, you can go to www.SMARTFAX.COM and fax directly from your computer!

The cost is $9.95 a month for unlimited IN and OUT faxing within the U.S.! You can compose your fax in WORD if you wish, but you will need to convert the WORD doc. into a PDF file, then upload it...and send it. OR...you can just write your comments in the COMMENT BOX.

I just sent all 100 Senators a fax! All I had to do is make a list of all the fax numbers, copy and paste them into the SEND BOX in SMARTFAX...and bang...they are on their way!

I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

    CostaMesaMan,

That sounds like a pretty good deal. Many of us should keep it in mind.

The place Richard is talking about, NumbersUSA sends faxes for you free. They are a lobby group in Washington (I guess it's a local fax). What you do with them is sign up and tell them the things you want them to watch the government for. If they see them pulling anything weird they will compose a message for you, then they will email you that they have one ready. All you have to do is click the email link, that will take you to the NumbersUSA website. Then you pick from your list the fax to send, read it, add a P.S. to it if you want and one more click send it off.

Your link to SmartFax could also be another very good tool for many of us.

I know that they receive the faxes from NumbersUSA because I receive responses pack from my Congressman and Senators.

P.S. Here is one of my favorite websites for addresses for Congress. http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/index.html

P.S.P.S. 100 at once must have felt really good!

Yes...I am aware of that website and I am sign up as a subscriber and use the mass faxing that Numbers does. I have just read of people going out buying fax machines...and I don't have one either, so I thought that this would be just another resource to tap into.

I also want to send more faxes than just the periodic ones that come through Numbers website...that is why I explored this option. I know it isn't for everyone...but if you can use it...why not?

Good idea. I use Numbers, but this gives me some more flexibility.

Has anyone gotten this to work? I installed the Smartfax driver and print to it, but the job always hangs. Can't bring up their chat support and haven't gotten a reply email from them. Anyone know of something similar? I heard Laura Ingraham's show advertizing efax.com

    This would help a lot.

I haven't had any difficulty with this as of to date, but if you continue to have difficulties, try efax.com by all means!

I see another more cumbersome way of sending.
