Thread: Sheriff Joe Arpaio Tuesday Nite NIGHTLINE Guest?

At the end of tonight's (Oct. 15) NIGHTLINE program, they announced one of tomorrow night's features would be "an Arizona Sheriff". Although neither his name nor county was given, the picture in the trailer certainly looked like Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, and the reporter honed right in on the issue of incarcerated illegal immigrants. I checked the official Nightline (ABC) site, but could find no listing of future program subjects.

It would be: NIGHTLINE (ABC), Tuesday, Oct. 16, 10:30-11:00 PM (CST).

I'm sure ABC will have an OBL slant towards Sheriff Joe.

I think he will handle them JUST FINE.

I'm sure he will handle it fine too... but if they do ...do this, then we should let them know what we think about it. Even if it means giving up ABC news!

No apology necessary. You weren't spreading misinformation. I was halfway watching Nightline on Monday and my ears perked up when they said that they would be telling a story about a sheriff on the border tomorrow night(Tuesday). They showed a clip of what looked like Sheriff Joe.

And thank you, Mayday, for verifying that you saw that clip on Monday's Nightline also! I see Sheriff Joe is back in the news today for arresting six suspected illegal aliens in Phoenix in response to a business owner's complaint.
