Troops are the only real answer to the border issue. We have them on call and can use them. They are equipt to handle the situation as well. We just need to order more softcuffs to put on the illegals that are caught.

The Federal Government has too much say in allowing our troops to be used on our soil. If it was up to the states our troops would be present, locked and loaded. This after all, this is their country, their land, their families also. oboma has his own plans for our military not in Iraq and Afganistan at this time. He wants his civilian (security) military. The ones he thinks will kill American men, women and children on his order. It's not going to happen. Of all the retired and active duty military I've talked to they take it as an insult that anyone would even think they could do that.
Yes there are renegades, but this is a whole new level of security. As our mission is to protect country and men, where will obama get his security force?
The states must fight for their military to be used as their security on our border until there is a better answer,

[quote]Sen. Robert Meza, D-Phoenix, suggested a holistic approach to border security by addressing the economic and social crises in Mexico.

Sure they are unsafe. Ya got sheriffs like Dupnik who gives his men orders NOT to enforce immigration laws because he is scared he is going to upset his latino voter base. We need troops down there, lots of them along with Local Law Enforcement and together they need to not only secure the border from illegals entering but to also sweep the small towns that are nothing more than stop overs to illegals both passing through and those who have set up shop without fear of deportation. Half are hiding and channeling drugs into the USA and the rest are just leaching off of our society. This has to stop. Once sweeps of these towns start you will see latino activists and communities cry the blues for their poor persecuted brothers and sisters. What is needed is an ongoing movement to let them know that their press and so called leaders are spreading false hope by making the communities think Dream Acts are still going to happen, amnisty is going to granted to all illegals. We need them to know that immigration reform is actual going to be stricter immigration laws, each state also passing laws that will allow documentation searches along with locals law enforcement given the authority to detain illegals. Also all state and federal aid including free medical and all education to illegals needs to come to a halt NOW! NO AMNISTY, NO DREAM, NO FREE MEDICAL or SOCIAL SERVICES to ILLEGALS.

We can make it alot safer along the border, send troops there and clean out all those small towns that are pockets for drug smuggling and illegals taking up living there.
