In the Event of an Emergency in South Texas, Illegals to be Evacuated Before Citizens

By Steve Straub On July 28, 2014 · 1 Comment · In US

Should a hurricane or other catastrophic weather event impact South Texas, illegal aliens in local shelters will be taken to safety before local citizens according to a National Weather Service coordinator.

    Via KRGV:
Rio Grande Valley Emergency Management officials are concerned that the large amount of people here illegally may pose a dangerous situation in the event severe weather like a hurricane threatens the Valley.
    ..
“You have extra sheltering areas and detention centers right here,” said Barry Goldsmith, Brownsville National Weather Service Coordinator. “And are they able to withstand the wind, are they able to withstand flood waters nearby to get humanitarian relief.”
All these questions come with the responsibility of keeping illegal crossers safe in the event a hurricane strikes.
    ..
A meeting this week in McAllen set a plan in motion.
“Before the public gets their mandatory evacuation, the plan is to get all these unaccompanied women and children out of the Valley and to safer ground,” said Goldsmith.
Where illegal crossers will be evacuated, will be kept private. Recent protesters have threatened their safety.
What do you think about the fact that in South Texas, illegals in shelters will be taken to safety before citizens in the event of a catastrophic emergency?

Emergency Managers Are Concerned About Bad Weather and Illegal Immigrants

MCALLEN - Rio Grande Valley Emergency Management officials are concerned that the large amount of people here illegally may pose a dangerous situation in the event severe weather like a hurricane threatens the Valley.

People who cross the border illegally have long been part of conversation in law enforcement circles.

But now, emergency managers in McAllen have questions of their own, in the event of a hurricane.

"You have extra sheltering areas and detention centers right here," said Barry Goldsmith, Brownsville National Weather Service Coordinator.

"And are they able to withstand the wind, are they able to withstand flood waters nearby to get humanitarian relief."

All these questions come with the responsibility of keeping illegal crossers safe in the event a hurricane strikes.

City officials, along with several emergency managers valley-wide came together to analyze the numbers.

The Valley's population exceeds 1.3 million people according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Add to that another 4,000 people here illegally.

How do we manage the extra bodies.

A meeting this week in McAllen set a plan in motion.

"Before the public gets their mandatory evacuation, the plan is to get all these unaccompanied women and children out of the Valley and to safer ground," said Goldsmith.

Where illegal crossers will be evacuated, will be kept private. Recent protesters have threatened their safety.

This plan helps keep the bigger picture in mind -- evacuating everyone safely.

"We don't have a situation like what happened in the Houston/Galveston area when they evacuated from Rita and people actually died on Interstate 45," said Goldsmith. "They were not able to go through traffic and were running out of gas."

Keeping everyone safe, whether you're legally here or not.

Well, hope for no weather emergencies. Can you see legal and illegal populations trying co-exist in over crowded conditions. Or even worse after the storm, that some citizens were not afforded proper shelter for reason of inadequate space.

This is the feds problem, not Texas. Another example of Congress leaving this , as always, for states to cope with rather than forcing HSI to deal with an invasion for nearly 3 decades! I'm again unfavorably impressed! Government for the people is a myth in the USA!

Should a hurricane or other life-threatening, catastrophic weather event impact South Texas, illegal aliens occupying various shelters will be first in line to get “to safer ground,” a National Weather Service coordinator says.

At a meeting last week, emergency managers in the Rio Grande Valley region addressed the reality that, in addition to picking up the tab for putting the immigrants up, they have also accepted responsibility for their safety. That means ensuring illegal aliens have a safe evacuation from temporary and permanent shelters during an emergency.
“You have extra sheltering areas and detention centers right here,” NWS Coordinator Barry Goldsmith told KRGV News. “And are they able to withstand the wind, are they able to withstand flood waters nearby to get humanitarian relief.”
Goldsmith is worried that if a hurricane or other emergency hits, the evacuation of some 4,000 illegal aliens could be impeded by citizens also trying to reach safety.
One way to ensure the illegals remain safe is to evacuate them before the general population receives evacuation orders, Valley city leaders have concluded.
“The entire Valley detention areas will be evacuated first,” says Goldsmith. “In other words, before the public gets their mandatory evacuation, the plan is to get all these unaccompanied women and children out of the Valley and to safer ground.”
The city and federal officials say by getting unaccompanied alien women and children out first, they are trying to avoid a Hurricane Rita-type situation, where more than 100 people died during the mass exodus of 2.5 million people from the Houston area.
The decision, which appears to have been made sans public input, illustrates how the establishment is seemingly taking better care of people in the country illegally, while military veterans and destitute American citizens continue to be cast by the wayside.
“In 2009, for example, former Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki and President Obama announced a goal to end Veteran homelessness by the end of 2015, giving the administration a little over six years to shelter the nearly 75,000 vets who were homeless in 2009,” explains Infowars’ Kit Daniels.
“But it only took the White House a month to shelter thousands of illegal immigrant youth, showing what the administration can do when it’s politically motivated.”
Facilities which could be repurposed to house homeless vets, such as the compound being used to house nearly 2,000 minors at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, for instance, operate at a tax payer cost of over $250 per child daily, or half a million per day.

Illegal Aliens To Take Precedence Over American Citizens In Emergency Evacuation

Illegal Aliens To Take Precedence Over American Citizens In Emergency Evacuation

As if those breaking our nation’s laws aren’t being gifted enough (you know, food, money, shelter and jobs) it seems that even their lives now take precedence over Americans to the current administration. According to a new report, illegal aliens are to be evacuated before a mandatory evacuation notice is issued to civilians.

The shocking statement was made during a meeting between emergency managers in the Rio Grande Valley region who were trying to prepare for the unforeseen occurrence of natural disaster. As we all know, in times of crisis, and especially evacuation, chaos ensues – so any way to further reduce any variables in such is highly desired.

Trying to do just that NWS Coordinator Barry Goldsmith explains that as they are picking up the tab for 4,000+ illegals, they’re also responsible for their well being as well. When posed with the hypothetical question of natural disaster, Goldsmith notes, “You have extra sheltering areas and detention centers right here and are they able to withstand the wind, are they able to withstand flood waters nearby to get humanitarian relief.”

Now obviously there’s no way we, as fellow human beings, would abandon people in times of crisis, but it’s the way officials are going about it that has Americans up in arms. Apparently, in the name of “efficiency,” Goldsmith and his gang of geniuses have stated that they’ll ship out the illegals first before notifying the public they must evacuate.

“The entire Valley detention areas will be evacuated first,” Goldsmith describes. “In other words, before the public gets their mandatory evacuation, the plan is to get all these unaccompanied women and children out of the Valley and to safer ground.”

Yet again, this administration, in all its brilliance, has made clear the amount of care and compassion it holds for the American people. Truly indicative of the reason Americans aren’t fond of gifting illegals with citizenship, the government has proven they can’t handle the responsibility of caring for American’s let along the additional influx.

Feel free to voice your outrage in the comments below.

BIZARRE: In the Event of a National Emergency, Illegals Evacuated First

in News, Politics / by Brandon Walker / on July 29, 2014 at 11:58 am /

In a bizarre twist by the National Weather Service, they have a new declaration in the event of an emergency before evacuating the citizens of the area where they hold 4000 illegal aliens. They would evacuate the 4000 illegals in the holding facility before they would evacuate the 1.3 million legal US Citizens in the same area!
According to an interview with KRVG, the Rio Grand Emergency Management officials have grown concerned with the overwhelming influx of illegal aliens being detained or released on the border towns of Texas. Should severe weather, like a hurricane or tornado, hit the area the question has come up how to handle an evacuation.
“You have extra sheltering areas and detention centers right here,” said Barry Goldsmith, Brownsville National Weather Service Coordinator. “And are they able to withstand the wind, are they able to withstand flood waters nearby to get humanitarian relief.” ~KRVG
Questions of how to handle illegal immigrants are not uncommon in law enforcement, especially with ICE being told to stand down and border patrol being limited in ammo and told to run from the armed criminals coming over. What’s new is now we are having the National Weather Service telling us how to handle the influx of illegals in the event of a major natural disaster.
So when city officials meet with the national government to devise a plan on how to handle 1.3 million legal US Citizens verses some 4000 illegals being detained, some of which are known gang members who have admitted to killing people, you would think the decision would be simple. The government can evacuate the facilities as per their job and the town could evacuate the citizens. At least that is how it is supposed to work.
    But not now.
“Before the public gets their mandatory evacuation, the plan is to get all these unaccompanied women and children out of the Valley and to safer ground,” said Goldsmith. ~KRVG
The media sure does like to repeat that lie. If you have been keeping up with our articles, you should know better than to believe the “women and children” scam intended to draw sympathy. Are they only keeping the women and children in a sadistic human trafficking ring and letting the men and teenage gang members go?
If that’s the case, than the entire Justice Department and Obama Administration needs prosecuted under the Rico Act for their crimes. Meanwhile, we have a government official trying to justify this decision with what happened during Hurricane Rita.
“We don’t have a situation like what happened in the Houston/Galveston area when they evacuated from Rita and people actually died on Interstate 45,” said Goldsmith. “They were not able to go through traffic and were running out of gas.” ~KRVG
He’s right about one thing. As Adan Salazar pointed out from an old article during Hurricane Rita, people did die in the evacuation. 107 people died in the mass chaos of evacuating 2.5 million people from Houston. Every moment counted in order to keep the number that low.
The answer is not to delay the evacuation to remove 4000 people out of the way before you give the evacuation order of 1.3 million that would be projected to be hit in that area in the event of an emergency. Statistically speaking, every minute you waste before the evacuation of a city would cost more lives. Every second wasted makes the danger that much closer, and potential lives lost increases dramatically. The reality is the longer you delay the citizens from evacuating the more likely they are to die.
These “children” housed at a US Military Air Force base in San Antonio are costing the tax payer $250 per person per day. That is $91,250 per year, not including the price for school, medical, dental, and transportation. That is two or three times the average salary of a legal resident which they pay to provide for them.
Now, they just declared their lives more valuable than yours.
