Is Special Order 40 a good idea? Is it proper for the local govt. to ignore certain immigr. laws in an effort to encourage illegal aliens to cooperate with police and report crimes? Should an exception to the prohibition of acting on known immigr. violations (Jamiel's Law) be enacted? Do we want to deport undocumented folks who are engaging in organized crime?

These were some of the inquiries put in front a panel of mayoral candidates a few weeks ago, at UCLA.
