Which Side Do You Stand on Rick Perry?
Here in Texas, we desperately need our own version of SB 1070, but Governor Rick Perry is missing in action. It's true that he did say he supports Attorney General Greg Abbott in filing the amicus brief, but Perry continues to insist that an SB 1070 type of law "isn't right for Texas." When asked why, he says that "every state is different", which is a complete non sequitur. Of course every state is different, but the harmful effects of the invasion by illegal are no different in Texas than in Arizona.
Governor Perry is trying to have it both ways with these weasel words, but it's time to take a clear cut stand for Texas citizens, and against illegal immigration. The time for waffling is over. Rick Perry needs to make up his mind - is he on our side, or on the side of the illegal aliens?
Take action:
Fax Governor Rick Perry and tell him it's time to stop speaking out of both sides of his mouth, to start doing the right thing, and to work with the Texas legislature to give us our own version of Arizona's SB 1070.

Also, please call, write or fax your local state Representative and Senator, and urge them to pass a bill like SB 1070 as soon as possible. If you need to look up their contact info, you can do so here:

Man, I've emailed Gubnah Fair-hair til I'm blue in the face over this issue.
Debbie Riddle and crew plan on trying to push an SB1070 through the
state senate soon. It'll probably suffer a miserable death but I'm hoping
it'll get enough support from voters to get Perry's attention.
Hey Perry, the only ones for illegal immigration are illegals an their
supporters and that's a small fraction of the voter base. Grow a pair
already.

Texas has some pretty tough law enforcement on, and near, the border.
It's time for them to take all their government officials who are against supporting their great law enforcement, and who support illegal aliens, and plant them at the border.
Any bets how long they would last before they crapped in their pants?
