    SO CAL IMMIGRATION DETAINEE ELECTROCUTED

    SoCal immigration detainee electrocuted

    By: Associated Press

    Friday, December 21, 2007

LOS ANGELES -- A Mexican immigrant fighting deportation was accidentally electrocuted at the Mira Loma Detention Center in Lancaster, authorities said.

Cesar Gonzales-Baeza, 35, was moving fence posts as part of a voluntary work crew on Dec. 5 when the jackhammer he was using struck a high-voltage power line, according to Greg Moreno, an attorney for his family. He died two days later.

Gonzales-Baeza was detained 10 months ago after being stopped for a traffic violation and had been held while appealing his immigration case, Moreno said.

The lawyer said his client had a green card.

"This shouldn't have happened," Moreno said. "This is a man who should have been bonded out. He was a hardworking man, a father of two young boys. He wasn't a threat to society or anyone else. And now he is dead."

Further details about the immigration status of Gonzales-Baeza were not immediately available from authorities.

The Sheriff's Department, which operates the Lancaster facility, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials were investigating the death, said Virginia Kice, a spokeswoman for the customs agency.

Why do illegals get a day in court. If they are illegal, why not just deport them. If they have no documentation, what is the problem. And when our government budgeys $10 million to defend them. Did they ask us if we minded them spending OUR MONEY for this. Is that not a slap in the face?

    at least

If he were deported, he would have come right back. At least it kept him out of the revolving door.

We need to make illegals the best messengers that coming to the US is not worth it. Make it absolutely miserable for them whent they get here, so that when they go back to their country and hear their friends saying, "Hey let's go to the US, score big time, then leave." The ones that were here will answer, "Don't even think of going there, it's a mess, you get treated like crap and it's just not worth it."

This is the idea that has to be in any would-be illegal alien.

VOLUNTARY work crew ... he had a green card ... he's not a threat ...

Why was he in JAIL then??? Ten months in prison, time served on how long of a sentence? What was his charge?

If he had a green card and committed an offense that landed him in prison for at least 10 months, why was his green card not pulled and his ALIEN butt deported?

I don't care how many anchors his wife dropped, we don't need more criminals.

How much you want to bet Mrs. Green Card Criminal sues LA, for the man's VOLUNTARY work at the prison?

They country is outsourcing 'everything' else why can't we outsource the prisons to oh what is the nearest country....Oh yeah it's Mexico!
The illegals can cool their heels in a prison over there (hiring local guards- so the rest of the world can't point fingers at us and say how bad we treat prisoners - Who wants another Guantanimo? I sure don't) while our courts drag their feet over getting them to trial.

I can't think of a reason that this would not work.

Most illegals speak spanish, The language of Mexico is spanish.

And since it is not in the USA we won't be the bad guys for any accidents caused by prisoner stupidity.

Wow, thats a real stroke of genius!! Outsourcing our penal system!
Wonder why someone hadnt thought of that before???? That would get
the captured criminals out of our hairand create employment in Mexico....that would be
the Mexico down south, not the Mexico wherever theres a Mexican!!!!

Mr. Moreno doesn't seem to be too upset about the 25 Americans on average per day that die at the hands of illegal immigrants. Those Americans have families too. That man should have been deported without detention or a court hearing, PERIOD.
