Show them the videos here....
www.kirkbytv.com
and here
www.immigrationwatchdog.com
That ought to do it.
Also, anyone that spends a few hours reading through the ALIPAC archives usually comes out the other side a changed person.

How do these family members get their news? If only by tv and newspaper they aren't going to be informed.
Know of any good talk radio shows in your area? Get most of my news here, Lou Dobbs and talk radio shows.
Good luck! It can be frustrating waking people up.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

When you learn the secret, please share it with us. I have tried. Lord, how I've tried. My sister and brothers are aware but not concerned. I have given up. I won't hold it against them as they are involved in their own problems and don't see it invading their lives yet. I still have hope that someday...

USAKAY:
Although most of my family - close and extended - is reasonably knowledgeable and sympathetic to 'our' side, there is a small handful of difficult cases. I have made *some* progress with the holdouts using much of the below:
1). Work on the ones most likely to 'see the light'. I have found that those who truly have their intellectual 'ducks in a row' can listen to reason - and reason, in this case, is largely the importance and universality of the rule of law. For the clueless ones, well, expend a little effort, but don't waste too much time on them. Unfortunately, I've got some folks in the extended family whose intelligence would pale in comparison to a freshly minted brick.
2). For those that hold some hope, gradually 'feed' them tidbits of useful and provocative information in building up the case (against illegal immigration). Most people's opposition is based in sheer ignorance and or lack of knowledge about the FACTS surrounding the problem - eg. it is tied to long-held and often erroneous assumptions. Those assumptions must be challenged. Change is painful for most people, so you have to sort of build this up gradually in steps.
I often start with a quick display of Teddy Roosevelt's speech referenced so commonly these days. That usually goes over very well.
Then, sometimes, engaging people in a little debate can be useful - depending on the open-mindedness too. Ask some probing questions in a blank and unleading way:
'How many illegal aliens live in our state?'
'Is it OK to break the law?... if you're poor and desperate?'
'Do you think most Americans support illegal immigration'?
'Did you know that many illegals that are arrested for crimes they commit often go free and unpunished - if we are fortunate enough to catch them?
Did you know that illegals kill 25 Americans each and every day'?
etc, etc.
CuriousPat's story here on the Forum is also a great (well, tragic, sorry Pat) - illustrative story which demonstrates what real people in the country live with every day.
By my experience, most of the people that are 'holdouts' cling to PC-oriented assumptions or beliefs. If you can demonstrate to those people a few critical points, you will have better success at 'winning them over'.
That:
* Illegal immigrants come from just about all countries on earth - not just Mexico, nor the rest of Latin America. About 1/2 of all the 9/11 terrorists entered and/or stayed in the US by abusing US immigration law and policy.
Illegal immigration is NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME!
* Being opposed to illegal immigration does not equate with racism.
Ask them to consider what 'race' are famous hispanic(s):
Mexican: Juan Hernandez, Vincente Fox, Salma Hayak,
Spainish: Charo, Antonio Banderas, etc.
What 'race' are they?
* Entering or staying in the US without proper permission IS A FEDERAL CRIME - whether or not it is enforced stringently is a different issue.
* There is no such thing as 'cheap labor' nor 'jobs American's won't do.
US citizens still comprise the majority of the workforce for every classification of job which people assume illegals dominate (ag. manual laborers is the one notable exception). Cheap labor is simply a way of shifting the costs onto the tax-paying public, and allowing employers to steal and enhance greater profits.
And, then once I'm convinced the person is mentally up to it, I give them a printed copy of Richard Lamm's "How to Destroy America" speech from 2005 in front of them and let them read it (it's the one on the impending danger posed by slavish adherence to multiculturalism and how being too PC will destroy the country as we know it). The reaction is very interesting and quite similar.... silence, with lots of mental processing going on. It is a very thought-provoking text.

This is my experience and IHMO - your experience or opinions may differ.
Sorry about the extended diatribe.

You could take them all on vacation to Maywood or Baldwin Park CA. Now that would be an eye opener for them.
