You don't need to press one or two...try it out folks!!

A light question here -but certainly something that has bugged us all. The last 4 times I've been asked this prompt I haven't pushed anything and after a couple of seconds it swings right into English. I wonder if that registers anywhere.

Okay, this is fluff -but I'm looking for any kind of 'protest' I can.

What other kinds of subtle protests have you made?!

I try pressing Zero to get the operator to complain about being asked to press 1.

My late mother-in-law refused to press 1 or any other number.

When there's no response to their prompts, a human will actually answer the phone most times.

Like Dixie, I press 0, and usually get a human response. Thank goodness, the numeric Spanish is the same as English. Otherwise, we would probably have to press 1 for English, to use the microwave.

Had to pick up some hardware at Home Depot today, used the self checkout machine. The display was defaulted in Spanish, usually its in English and if you want Spanish you press a prompt. When it is set to default in Spanish a customer cannot change it to English.

i yelled at the guy at the stand that monitors the self check out:

me: Hay change this to English
HD Guy: Use another machine sir
me: This is America sonny we speak english here change this one
HD guys two of them scan there IDs in machine and reset to english.

I will go back tomorrow and do it again. Counted 23 scumbags out in the lot trolling for work.

I always never ask for Spanish ,but I often wonder if when I was two press two If a Spanish specking person Would get on the line.

I reserve the right to not even be asked to press any numbers, just give me costumer service...
I am learning French I wonder when I learn it well enough if I can talk to the Operator in that french, see what she does or says and then tell her to press three.
