Thread: Special Help Needed on NY Assembly Leadership List

Please see my post here about the leadership. We need some extra help on the leaders to bring this bill to the floor. Stopping the bill from going to a vote is the only hope Spitzer's allies have to stop us.

I've called the B's and C's, half way through the D's. Somebody just pick the letter of a last name from the Assembly list below, and just start calling:

Talking points to use :

(tell them you want to see their support in passing the NY State Senate bill 6484 - which blocks Spitzer from carrying out his plan to give driver's licenses to illegal aliens)

---it dismantles a current NY state law that prevents issuing driver's licenses to illegal aliens

---it violates the NY State Constitution

---it is in direct violation of the federal Real ID Act

---it violates the federal law that prevents "aiding and abetting illegal aliens"

---it is in direct opposition to the 911 Commission guidelines and recommendations.

---it is against the will of the people of NY (72% are opposed)

---it makes the citizens of NY State less secure from terrorism

---it jeopardizes the security of the entire nation.

---it will enable voter fraud (illegal aliens will utilize it as an ID to vote)

Assemblywoman Ginny Fields will be appearing on the Lou Dobbs show tonight to discuss Spitzer's Plan and the opposition against it. She has also put together her own bill opposing it which has been filed with the Assembly. She will be talking about that on Dobbs, as well. Here is her home page:
