There are moments out on the street, while protesting that you receive F-Bombs, the finger and some other hateful comments. But there are more honkers, thumbs-ups and the woo-hoos than the former. And then there are some very special moments.

While protesting yesterday, out in the hot sun and baking on the sidewalk, a family from Kenya, walked up and asked what we were doing. We stopped yelling, lowered our signs and told them we were protesting illegal immigration. We did a lot of explaining too. They thought it was wonderful that we were protesting, standing up and yelling at our government. They wished us well and we gave them advice about places to visit around town. Then we bid them a safe trip and waved good bye, to our new found friends from a far away land.

As they continued down the street, we reflected on how kind, nice and interesting they were. We wished they wanted to immigrate to the US because they are the kind of people we want in our country.
