The IRS exists because of them. People just don't understand the evil history of the income tax. It's just incredible after all these years they don't understand the income tax was passed by the rich, for the rich. The rich set up the 501 C 3 "scam" to manipulate our government into all the wrongs you see today. It wasn't ordinary people who said, "lets tax our income and then give ourselves a tax deduction to set some clothes out for Purple Heart". It was OLIGARCHS who passed the income tax for themselves, they set up the "charity" for they could offset the income to reduce their obligation while using the 501 C 3's to manipulate the government tax free disguised as "charity" to promote the policies that lined their pockets.

Oh my God .... when will people understand the evil of the income tax? The income tax was passed at the same time in the same bill that reduced tariffs to compete with our own domestic manufacturers. The income tax was passed first to guarantee the mandated revenue they needed to create the Federal Reserve System. They had to pass the 16th Amendment to validate the law. They did all of this, including ratification by all the needed states in less than 9 months. Woodrow Wilson called a Special Session of Congress to pay the income tax/tariff bill in March of 1913. Then they did their 16th Amendment and it was ratified by October. The Federal Reserve Act was then swept through before the end of the session in 1913.

You think ordinary people were behind this? Oh no. This was the Mastermind Plot of the Oligarchs and Globalists in the best performance of their lives in 1913 that set the destruction of the United States in motion. As a result of it, we're $20 trillion in debt with no possible way to repay it. And who owns the debt? That's right, the Oligarchs who set it up. They own every American, lock stock and barrel. To get everything you own, all they have to do is: call it in.

They know every property you own because you've had a mortgage and deducted the interest on it and/or deducted property taxes on them. They know every one of your savings and investment accounts, because you had to pay interest and dividend taxes on those accounts. They know where you work to garnish your paychecks, because you pay income tax and payroll tax on your income and your employer is required to report it to them.

Oh yes, it's a mess. The income tax system is nothing but a mess. Why people still want to cling to it is beyond me.
Yes, it is gross payments - but those contract people are absolutely required to file a tax return and pay applicable taxes - which includes both parts of the SS payment.

It's no different from any other kind of income taxes, as far as the government estimates. Even those with withholding have deductions, and the government doesn't know what those deductions are.

If they estimate concerning withholding taxes, they are using some kind of formula, based on past information, they would have a formula for contract labor as well.

Believe me, the IRS has statistics they use to decide what they think or believe someone would/should normally pay, and what those expenses are for a contract worker. Been through 5 audits ---------

Of course, when we talk about government 'formulas', they aren't really too reliable.

Yes, those 'charitable' organizations, foundations, churches, need to be checked.

That's my point. The IRS doesn't know how much anyone owes until after they file a return. So unless people have filed returns and owe tax and not paid all the tax they claim they owe on their return, which is not tax evasion, it's delinquent tax, the IRS has no idea if anyone owes them a cent. And scanning around looking at 75 million people on Medicaid, 55 million on Medicare, 15 Million on SCHIP and over 7 million on subsidized Obamacare, plus 12 to 20 million unemployed, and the rest living paycheck to paycheck, it's a little hard to fathom that our people owe the IRS much of anything at all.

I was really thinking about the illegals that work on a contractual basis. The IRS knows it and has said in the past they don't have the 'ability' to check to see who pays and who doesn't. This has got to be one of the most blatant and insulting lies our government has put out there.

Many illegals work more than one job on a contractual basis. They do owe money and they should be made to pay that money.

There is a whole lot of money being made in this country that somehow isn't getting taxed. We need to start there. Whether it be off shore hiding, loophole investment, illegal allien earnings, charitable, churches - who are acting like churches, foundations - political organizatiions, etc.

People on Medicare still pay income taxes - and SS tax.

Oh, well, most illegals are filing tax returns to get the EITC. Back in 2005, there were over 8 million tax returns filed by illegal alien households, so that covered, well, probably 20 million or more illegal aliens at that time and that was before the EITC. The average total tax they owed at that time was $1,000 and that included their payroll tax. The IRS bragged about the $8 billion they collected. Of course it cost our country close to $113 billion for them to pay the $8 billion and that was then. Today with the EITC that can be up to $7,000 a household in refunds, well, they don't pay anything. It's a cash cow for them.

Like I said, there is no fixing the IRS. The income tax and the IRS have to be abolished. You can't have this big of stupid in charge of taxation, privy to personal information and private business date. It's insanity to have an organization like this funded by taxpayers with the power of audits, liens, foreclosures and prosecutions.

The IRS and the Income Tax "goota go"!

Realistically, if illegals are deported any back taxes they may be owing will simply be moot. The upside would be fewer of them draining our other resources. And from the political angle if Americans can get into those jobs, who is going to begrudge them, also, working under the table?

Yet I still think the IRS should close the annual tax gap, and that would pragmatically mean going after the major entities that are utilizing illegitimate avoidance schemes. We're just going to face unending budget crises; I agree that the fed. government needs to be pared down, but the IRS is how we pay for whatever is decided. One of the looming issues is paying for the Social Security system, and while not technically a federal income tax issue, it's still something the federal government has to fund.

We don't wan their money. We want them out of here. Whatever little pittance they pay isn't worth anything to the United States. It costs more to process their stupid worthless returns than the money they pay only to get 7 x back in EITC refunds. They claim dependents who don't even live in the United States for crying out loud.

GET THEM OUT OF HERE! We don't want anything they even touched.
