    Status on Senate Bill 2117?

Does anyone know the status of S. 2117, introduced by Sen. Inhofe of Oklahoma or is it dead in the water? I believe everyone needs to contact their senators about jumping on board this bill. What do you guys think?

Frist is the one who puts things on the calender. I dont think he's going to let this bill compete with his bill.

    From Thomas Library of Congress

    S.2117
Title: A bill to clarify the circumstances under which a person born in the United States is subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, to provide for criminal penalties for forging Federal documents, to establish a National Border Neighborhood Watch Program, and for other purposes.
Sponsor: Sen Inhofe, James M. [OK] (introduced 12/15/2005) Cosponsors (None) Latest Major Action: 12/15/2005 Referred to Senate committee. Status: Read twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

Sylvia's notes: As you see, there are no sponsors at all. However, that does identify us one Senator that can be on our "A" list as we are calling around for Senate support on the floor vote.

Maybe we could ask Senators to offer ammendments to Frists bill that come from s2117.
