Even though he went back to the GOP, Paul is still a Libertarian at heart and here is their view on immigration, FYI ...

We welcome all refugees to our country. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age, or sexual preference. We therefore call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally.

It's my understanding that this is justified by the elimination of all social/welfare programs. Libertarians basically believe "Let each make his/her own way without the forced assistance of others by any government decree.

You can't/shouldn't examine one platform statement without regards to all platform statements. JMHO

I think they also advocate ending the Social Security Ponzi scheme.

Well, in my humble opinion, you CAN make that part of the Losertarian platform a deal breaker. Illegal immigration negatively affects education, healthcare, crime and law enforcement, social services ... and about 50 other aspects of our lives. Their naive take on doing away with borders and even ICE is pure Nuttiness.

They will NEVER get my vote. (Not that they will ever need it. )
