Student claims it`s unfair to arrest or deport Illegals
http://www.sbsun.com/voiceofpeople/ci_5421024
I found this in the paper this morning and just had to post it. Although it`s the opinion of a student who has yet to learn responsibilities.
It shows the lack of reality some people have.
Unfair to students

In regard to illegal immigration, it is wrong that Mexicans, or any other race of foreign people, should be sent to prison or back to their country. They work so hard to get here, only to be deported.
There have been many cases where young, smart students graduate from high school and are ready to go to college to better themselves but are arrested because they are in this country illegally.
Some people think the worst of Mexicans, and believe that we only come here to start problems. But what they don't see is that all of us Mexicans are here to get a better job and start a new life.
Mexicans are not really bothersome, because they are taking the jobs most Americans don't want.
All I want is for the citizens of this country to make fair laws that respect the hard work and dreams of Mexicans and other immigrants who come to the United States. So, please don't let something stupid like being in this country illegally result in sending innocent people to prison.

The writer of this piece is only in eigth grade. I wonder if it was the schools, her parents or both that brainwashed her into thinking this way?

Laura Gonzales. Any relationship to Atty Gen Alberto Gonzales? Are you maybe, just another "anchor baby"?

BUT ILLEGAL ALIENS WHO SNEAK INTO OUR COUNTRY, BREAK OUR LAWS, OBTAIN PHONEY ID'S TO GET AND STEAL JOBS FROM AMERICAN CITIZENS, WILL BE CAUGHT AND HOPEFULLY DEPORTED ASAP!

The children are only getting one side of the story so they can't think this through critically.
If they could see the repercussions of the onslaught on their lives and the lives of their loved ones they could form a better opinion. Then don't have the life experience to think with their heads yet. It is so much easier to feel with their hearts.
I explained it to my 12 year old very simply. He got it. Still gets it and is disgusted and very offended by the invasion of our country.
Of course, it doesn't help when you see the people in authority in our country downplaying the fact that laws are being broken and because it serves their purpose that is acceptable. The adults in this country are going to have to answer to these kids someday about the way they gave away these children's birthright.
