Are you savvy? Can you spot a dupe?

Will you vote for an incumbent who supports amnesty?

    A) No

    B) Yes

    C) Shame on you for trying to dupe me and shame on me if you do dupe me. Remember how Bush got 245i through the House in 2002 by using Democrats and safe seat republicans? Well if he uses Democrats and safe seat republicans to pass guest worker amnesty and you vote against incumbents who supported amnesty then Bush will have tricked you into accepting amnesty while supporting the party that is responsible for amnesty.(Let’s say you have a D senator that is up for re-election who votes for amnesty and you vote against that senator. Bush will have tricked you into voting R while R is responsible for the amnesty) Dupe. The republican party controls congress and if amnesty passes it is because they want it to pass. They will try to do in a way that keeps republican seats that are in play out of range of voter wrath and the way to counter that is to bring EVERY republican seat into play.

If guest worker amnesty for illegal aliens becomes law I will vote against EVERY republican (at all levels) on the ballot on Election Day 2006

It does not matter if you are a U.S. Senator who voted against guest worker amnesty

It does not matter if you are a U.S. Representative who voted against guest worker amnesty( we remember how you tricked and betrayed us with 245i)

It does not matter if you are a state or local republican

Every republican at every level is expected to stop guest worker amnesty from becoming law......and if you don’t........then

If guest worker amnesty for illegal aliens becomes law I will vote against EVERY republican (at all levels) on the ballot on Election Day 2006

I won't vote for any politician of either party that supported amnesty, this issue is dividing both parties.

Now I am not giving this President a pass on this - I have been sickened by his stand on this issue.

But have you seen what the Democrats are doing on this? What good is it going to do to put Democrats in office.

Do you think if Democrats had the majority right now, they would vote down 'guest worker'?

Stop thinking in terms of 'one party - good' / other party- bad' and realize they are both bad. They are both supporting this amnesty..

The only thing we can do is vote against all of them. Vote them all out - Tancredo is the only one who has fought the fight all along.

The rest seem to me to be opportunists - or they have been cast in the 'bad cop - kinda bad cop' role here.

Break that addiction to party politics. Why in the world have Americans allowed politicians to decide how we think of ourselves and how we vote?

That's what confuses me mas far as voting goes for the senate votes in 06 and the president, in 08.

If the incumbents are for amnesty and the other side running is for anmesty too, WHO DO YOU VOTE FOR?

No matter what ticket they are on, Republicans or Democrats, if either or, or both are "for amnsety" how do you decide who to vote for?

Of course the Democrats support amnesty.....BUT BUT BUT The democrats are not in control of congress and can pass NOTHING unless the republicans want it to pass....If amnesty becomes law and the republicans do not lose 1 or both houses of congress because of that then we will have showm that there is no price to be paid for screwing us and feel free to do it again and again....If amnesty passes the R party is not worth preserving anyway. Let a new party emerge.

If amnesty passes I will vote against every R on election day to show that I am not a free ****.

Are you joking? Seriously, I mean it?

So, does it matter who sold us out? So we should love the Democrats who sold us out - just because we don't like Republicans?

That is the brainwashing that has us in the situation we are in today.

If amnesty passes, we may very well be toast - and both sides did it.

Just vote out anyone now in office. For now, we are stuck with only 2 sides of a one-sided party - but if we put all new people in - then do it again and again - maybe we can get their attention and they might actually get the idea.

Right now, they vote the way their 'bosses' tell them to - that's the corporations.

Until they get electronic voting machines, with no paper trail, in all voting places, we do still have a vote.

This may be the last real vote you will ever have in this country - use it wisely.

Put all of them out of office - if we don't, we are yesterday's news.

    nntrixie,
    re:Are you joking?

    Answer NO

The R party controls congress and if amnesty passes it is because they want it to pass. I have seen plenty of these Broadway Shows/Legislative battles.

If this issue is not that important to you then what are you doing here??

The brain washing that has gotten us here today is that we should blindly vote R without making demands in return for our vote.

But that's just it! If amnesty passes, it will be on both sides, and because the senate is controlled by Republicans, that means they threw in with the Democrats if this amnesty goes through.

so with that being said ,who do you vote for when BOTH SIDES are for amnsety?

    concernedcitizen,
RE:who do you vote for when BOTH SIDES are for amnsety?

You vote against the party in the majority because they are responsible since they could easily stop amnesty.

In other words the price of amnesty should be loss of the majority. Now when the majority realizes that there is a price to be paid for amnesty they have to decide whether one issue is worth losing the majority over.

Put aside your checkers for awhile and start playing chess. They are.
And we can win if we stop being a free ****.(I never was, I am not squeamish about voting payback even if the other candidate is worse) If the Republicans lose the House over amnesty there is a possibility that Bush will get impeached. And in a closely divided electorate every vote counts. Did I answer your question?

    I think I get it....

My state has two Senators ,both Democrats.....so in the next election, I would vote for Republican Senators.

It's just one thing, both of my senators,(Mikulski ,and Sarbanes)are for the Guest Worker Program.

So now I just have to hope that which ever Republican runs, is against Amnesty!

    Thanks
