03-18-2008, 09:02 PM #11Then we risk opening the bag worms that is increasing legal immigration. That is scarier than the status quo because once we have them, we can't get rid of them and most people are reluctant to say they are opposed to legal immigration. Roy Beck is right, legal immigration is a bigger threat than illegal immigration just because of the sheer numbers but people are too PC to say anything.

Anything higher than that has a negative impact on American workers and taxpayers.

We have enough trouble as it is trying to get people motivated on illegal immigration, what makes you think they will listen to us on legal immigration?

03-18-2008, 09:28 PM #14Then maybe we should point out how illegal immigration and also increased legal immigration hurts poor American minorities. There is already a group called I think "Hire Black America".

I don't think we should rely on studies done by someone who used to hold Shelia Jackson-Lee's seat. It could backfire. Right now our allies are conservative patriots and we risk alienating them on other issues by aligning ourselves with people like that. The easiest people to convert are republicans and we have to cater our approach to them for now and then move from their.

03-18-2008, 09:33 PM #16The blacks see patriots as bigger threats then the illegals. The black leadership is in lock and step with the Hispanic leadership and vice versa. Shelia Jackson Lee is a huge amnesty supporter. Until blacks start voting for someone on issues and not race they aren't going to be much help to us. Look to see who the blacks are flocking to right now. They aren't stupid, they know Obama's stance on illegals, they just don't care and would rather see a black man be president than control the illegals.

McCain and Obama do get the same marks on immigration, they both suck.
This is not a fight between a small group of vocal patriots and the majority that wants amnesty.
The vast majority of Americans are opposed to amnesty, a path to citizenship, an overthrow of the existing laws. We know that from numerous polls.
If McCain truly enjoys high marks on immigration, then why did he fall from 1st to 4th place when he supported the Amnesty bills? Why did Senator Reid and others fall into the teens with their support numbers?
How could 80% of Americans consistently poll that that they want the border secured, employers fined, local police looking for illegal aliens, and all taxpayer benefits cut off from illegals, but then want to erase all that with a path to citizenship?
What you are seeing here is the elite propaganda machinery working full force.
The worst thing you could do is start to believe their lies.
Our enforcement only view is the view that truly represents the American majority. We know it and they know it.
Does anyone here need anymore evidence that the pro amnesty bunch is the biggest group of sophisticated liars you have ever seen?
How many polls that show the public desire for enforcement have we seen censored or suppressed by the main stream media? MANY.
The polls that the place in the limelight are the designer polls designed to try and convince the majority they are in the minority.
It is only thanks to the Internet and talk radio that we know differently.
Keep the faith.

Seems people just do not care sad to say even most of my friends just look at me like I am nuts when I try to talk to them about it.When they have a few dozen people living in a small cottage next door to them then they will bitch and moan but by then it will be too late if not already.
We can't deport them all ? Just think of the fun we could have trying!

In my daily life I am seeing more and more Americans openly voicing their anger at our governments over Illegal Immigration and it is NOT only conservatives.Sometimes I am totally surprised by the people who say they have had enough.
I read the commentary of IA stories and lots of times the poster says they are a frustrated Democrat.
William is right I see momentum building against IA's,especially since the June failure of the Comprehensive Immigration Bill !"A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson
