I understand what you are saying, but let's not forget the Tortoise and the Hare fable (slow and cautious may be the order of the day). Running for President of the United States is a very serious business and the media can make or break you. In other words, we don't want our candidates to come off as racist or bigots. This is the main issue that concerns me about Tancredo. He has a history of being very vocal on the issue of illegal immigration (sometimes pushing the limits), but Hunter on the other hand has a history of getting things done. Personally, I like Tancredo's "hell for leather" way of doing things, but unfortuantely I'm not sure of how it's going to resonate among a large block of voters. Sure, he's got a large following, but will it be enough and will he be capable of expanding his base of supporters? That's a question I can't answer, but it weighs heavy on my mind. Now, we all know Hunter is just as serious about dealing with our borders and illegal immigration as Tancredo is, but he seems to be using a little more tact and finesse in dealing with the issue. In the end, I think that will help push him beyond where Tancredo can go. Personally, I don't care which one ends up in the Oval Office. In my view it's just a matter of deciding which one has the better chance.
I am so afraid that Tancredo and Hunter will be overshadowed by the big money candidates that by taking a firm stance on the issue, it will set them apart from the other Presidential candidates (evreyone else is too afraid to talk about it). Let's face it, there is not a single news media taking either one of them seriously. It makes me mad. There is nothing racist about illegal immigartion, so I don't see the worry. The only people that use racism against us, are either ignorant, or fighting for their own cause. I think that enough people are sick of people breaking our laws, they just need to know who to vote for.

This is very true. The big money lobbies are throwing all of their support behind McCain, Giuliani, and ANYONE besides Tancredo, Hunter, and Paul. We talk about this a lot and here it is in action. The Chamber of Commerce, Business Roundtable, Cato, Brookings etc. will do ANYTHING to keep Tom out of the White House. The globalist lobbies will stop at nothing to secure their global cheap labor, and they have their sites set on the NAU. They know how critical this election is, and so do we.

On top of that, we have the MSM to deal with from the left. They have all but silenced Tom, Ron, and Duncan. IMO, the country we currently live in can not really be considered a democracy. WE have to take our democracy back. We should call local radio stations (they tend to be very tough on immigration) and try to get Tom's name out there, hopefully we can get stations across the country to campaign day in and day out for Tom. Also, I hope lou Dobbs puts Tom and the others on his show more to talk about immigration. That could help counter-balence the fixing job the MSM is currently persuing.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!

That is why the American people have to throw dedicated support behind candidates that are standing strong against illegal immigration, no matter how much the media etc tries to brainwash us that they do not have a chance. We can do this. We must not waver from our goal! These lobbist have a determined dedication to get a replica of George Bush in the white house, we must match it with overwhelmning motivation to get a candidate in the white house that passionately cares about America and Americans!
He has to be a Get er' done type of guy because there is lots to get done thanks to Bush and his amigos!

Anyone that can support Tancredo should be able to support Hunter too because their position is almost identical. I hate to hear that people can "only" support Tancredo, but I guess if that's how they see it, there's nothing I can say that will change their mind.
Hunter is way ahead of Tancredo in every poll I have seen.

I was thinking the very same thing. Everytime I see the cable news shows, they only mention Clinton, Edwards, Obama, McCain, Guliani, and Romney.
Seems these candidates are chosen by the media, in which they focus all their attention on. Then we the "sheeple" are supposed to just follow whomever "THEY" put in front of us.

They say Guliani leads in the conservative polls. Don't these conservatives know he's a globalist just like Bush?? (And this coming from a New Yorker) So he's good during a crisis. Big deal! He's for illegal immigration as well!

Perhaps, we activists should get together and come up with some sort of web campaign to get the faces of people like Tancredo and Paul out there, since they are being ignored by the mainstream media. I think an online campaign is the way to go. Any thoughts??

I think that our candidates need to start focusing on target groups: soccer moms, environmentalists, education, Veterans etc...going out with a general campaign in hopes of picking up votes will be detrimental to the election. And if we can get some celebrity endorsements, I think that would help too. Maybe Charlie Daniels, Ted Nugent, Toby Keith, Ben Stein(?) All of this talk about moving primaries up makes me nervous.

I wouldn't get too excited about the poll results showing Tancredo on top. I think you have to consider who set the poll up, of course we are going to vote for him. We need to inform the rest of the voters out there why it is in their best interest too.

    Here's the thing......................

The media and the lobbies are pushing these people--McCain and Giuliani--in front of us. There like: "Here, its good for you!!" Like a parent trying to force-feed a child green beans. The public is simply not charged up for these bums. There's a void. A SERIOUS vacuum that needs to be filled. The media dares not speak it but there is a 400 lb gorilla in the room. That gorilla, ladies and gentlemen, is immigration. Even the voters don't know it on a conscious level, but in their gut they know something is wrong with McCain and Giuliani. Mark my words: Neither one of these bums will get the nomination. The sponsor of the largest amnesty bill in history and a lisping liberal? C'mon. The conservative primary voters are DYING for someone to speak to their concerns. Like I said, they may not know it on a conscious level, but immigration is the issue they want adressed. Tom will step up and deal with that issue. He will acknowledge the 400 lb gorilla. He will fill the void, fill the vacuum.[/b]

    April-

I should have said with the exception of the poll you listed. I voted in it too. But WRKO is a huge supporter of Tancredo's so I guess to me the results don't hold much weight. Don't get me wrong, I am a supporter of Tancredo's and sure wish he would get more air time and coverage. I agree with everyone else here, getting our candidates more publicity is crucial. How do we do it?
