DENVER (AP) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed Tom Tancredo, the American Constitution Party candidate for governor.

Palin urged voters Monday to support Tancredo, saying he will fight for lower taxes and smaller government.

The 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee also said Tancredo will start growing the economy.

GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Dan Maes, a Tea Party favorite, said Palin is becoming more and more part of the establishment. Maes said Palin waited until the day before the election to improve her odds of picking a winner.

In a KHOW radio interview, Maes said he couldn't see where “the courage or integrity isâ€

Better late than never. But yeah, this does strike me as being similar to Romney's endorsement of Col. West after every other elected Republican in the country had been down to Florida to campaign for him.

I agree. Better late than never.

Do you think it will help Tom get some votes that may have went to Maes?

This one is going to be a nail biter no matter what

It would be huge if Tom pulls it out , it would send a very clear message to the illegals in Colorado

It's possible, although I don't know how many supporters Maes still has in the Republican Party. I think it's just a small rump that's operating under the misconception that not voting for Maes means the Colorado GOP will be permanently handicapped in future statewide races. That, plus a small group that just resents Tancredo and would rather a horrible, open borders Dem. take office than someone they despise.
